The crew and the boat were fine. It is long boat ride. We had good weather so the seas were pretty calm. If you get seasick make sure to take the pills! Great views of the Golden Gate going and coming. Only saw a few whales (no humpbacks time of year)

Between the East coast and West coast I have been on 7 other whale watching voyages... none compare! The crew were knowledgeable, involved with their customers and made the entire trip a great experience! It certainly didn't hurt that we got to see Humpbacks, a Sun Fish, Dolphins, Sea Lions, a bazillion birds, but most of all...a Blue whale! So... More

Fantastic experience from reservation to return! Helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and caring captain and crew. We were fortunate to see 6 humpbacks and a majestic Blue Whale on our trip! Cruising under the GG Bridge and out to the Farallon Islands and seeing whales in their natural habitat is a Bucket List Item for tourists and locals alike. Dress warmly and... More

We had a great time on the Kitty Kat and spotted humpbacks just past the GG bridge. The captain and crew were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We spent a couple hours watching the first pod with whales as close as 100 feet of the boat a couple times. I figured the captain would just save fuel and head back to... More

Ok - the big deal was of course seeing hump back whales and we were privileged to do so. On top of that the boat captain, mate and guide were excellent. They knew their stuff and their enthusiasm for the subject and conservation were infectious. They also made a point of making sure they talked to everyone so that you... More

While the first excursion of the week saw much sea life, including seals of several types, harbor porpoises, dolphins, and many species of birds, there were no whale sightings. It was a five hour trip out into the Gulf of the Farallones which was very educational with Heather as our "expert", the Captain and First Mate Ray. Ray was exceptionally... More

We had a great adventure, long boat ride out to the islands. You need to bring lots of warm clothes, and seasickness meds. Quite a few people were sick, but the crew was very helpful. The crew was great, captAin Joe, mate Ray, and naturalist Jason. The were all very informative, funny and kind. Saw lots of dolphin, sea lions,... More

We had the most fantastic whale watching cruise with these great people! We saw six to eight gray whales all diving and even breaching just outside the Golden Gate Bridge. And, lots of other animals and birds. The crew on our cruise was great. Naturalist, Heather, and First Mate, Ray, were great. So very knowledgeable and so willing to share.... More

We lucked out in that we had a sunny day with a calm ocean. We saw 9 gray whales (you mostly sea water spouts and tail fins so don't expect whales breaching like Alaska). The highlight of the day was seeing the Farallon Islands and hundreds of sea lions on it's rock and nesting birds. The islands are dramatic and... More
