The web site says it all..you are going out onto the pacific ocean. This is not like Alaska where you get a warm meal, on a larger boat and all that. S.F. whale watching means you are going out into some choppy water for a nice long haul to try to see some whales. We didn't and the guides told... More

We were greeted by Ashley who was very friendly and taken to board the Kitty Kat. We were given the do's and don'ts of the trip and were soon heading off on our adventure. Ashley was very informative and was always telling us where to look and what we may see. We had a good trip out taking in all... More

Armed with warm clothing, binoculars and sea sickness tablets we meet our fellow travellers at 7.30am at the dock. After roll call and an informative introduction we boarded the Kitty Kat and were soon heading out into the Bay. The crew were very knowledgeable and helpful and Mr Woods the naturalist/biologist immediately started pointing out bird life, fish and mammals... More

I booked this primarily for my wife because when we went to Alaska several years ago, we did not get to see any real wildlife (except for a single eagle in Ketchikan and an otter in one of the ports). When she heard that San Francisco had a Whale watching tour, we decided to include it in our trip there.... More

San Francisco Whale Tours!!! We had an incredible time. The crew was very accommodating and friendly. Our naturalist/biologist, Mr. Woods, educated us all about every bird, fish and mammal we encountered which transformed the experience. Purely delightful and educational. Seeing porpoises, sea lions, and whales in their ocean habitat is so profound. We didn't anticipate that the tour would be... More

Absolutely recommend this trip. Very informative and very helpful. We even got to see mummy and baby humpbacks!! Ashley plus the other crew members couldn't do enough. Even when people were feeling sick they were there for them. A must do in San Francisco.

This trip really isn't for someone looking for a casual experience, but if you come prepared, you'll have a great time! I wasn't sure if I would be seasick, so I took dramamine and brought extra with me for the trip. It was a good idea! A few people were seasick, and the crew handled it really well. They really... Over six hours of hell! Should have read the reviews.... Boat too small to avoid severe rocking! At least 25% of guests were vomiting.... Knowledgable tour guide but not good enough to ease my sea sickness....

I've read some other reviews, and I'll say this: you're out on the Pacific on a boat. If you don't come dressed warmly with waterproof gear and are not prepared for seasickness, that's your own fault. I think that information could be featured more prominently on their website, but you should use common sense and prepare for every situation. There... More
