The bar/restaurant at the top of the Mark Hopkins hotel is a great place to go to get a cocktail at the beginning of an evening and see the city from a different viewpoint.

I came here at 4:45pm on a Saturday (they opened at 4:30) and there was already a 20 minute wait just for the bar. Next time I'll get there right when they open to get a window table. The waiting area is tiny but there's a couple windows to look out while waiting. The views are totally amazing and worth... More

Dancing on the 19th floor rooftop bar with a spectacular 360 degree panoramic view of the San Francisco skyline is a rarified experience. Located on Nob Hill in the Intercontinental Hotel, the historic bar opened in 1939. What made this locale particularly fun was the live entertainment. On several occasions, I had the chance to listen and dance to the... More

Great views of the city and the 100 Martinis would take a while to work through! The ones we had were great...

This is the place to go up and have a drink on a clear day. 360 degree views. 100 martinis. Don't try and order anything that ain't on that menu. "Light dinner" menu. More like bar snacks. You have to do this at least once. Have a cocktail and maybe a snack, enjoy the view, then go somewhere else for... More

It is a must, the views you take in a just amazing (try for a clear day of course). I simply came for a cocktail before meeting friends for dinner. A glass of champagne was $12, so very fairly priced - especially when you consider where you are. Do stop in, it is worth the trip.

We visited this place on our last evening in San Fran to celebrate my birthday. We got all dressed up and went out for some drinks and a view of the city at night. There was a nice relaxed atmosphere and the view was sensational. The music was great, drinks were nice and overall was a nice way to top... More

My experience: nice music, great view, good people all around, poor drinks. It's a must see in San Francisco and the view is really amazing. They need to improve a little bit with drinks (at least what I ordered) but I think it's worth a visit.

We went to the Top of the Mark to get a night view of the city. Words can't describe it-Beautiful. We had chocolate martinis-very good. We did not have dinner. The bar area is small but there are tables in the area all along the windows. It's definitely something you need to see while in the city.
