I drove over the Bay Bridge a couple of times: at dawn, on a trip to Yosemite, and at night, on the way back. The bridge looks breathtaking when it is lit up at night and if you can find a good spot at the base of the bridge, you can take some pretty good long-exposure shots with the water... More

I know the Golden Gate is the iconic SF bridge (and it is stunning) but I I don't think the Bay Bridge gets enough oohs & ahs and press! I drove over it in my rental car and then again at night on a tour bus. Its a really great bridge! At night is all lit up and pretty. Don't... More

On New Years we walk the Bay Bridge 3 plus mile new walk way. This was a nice breezy walk on a bridge that never had a walk trail. Once its complete to the island that separates it from San afrancisco it should be hugh walking attraction. It is presently free! There is a magnificent view of the San Francisco... More

Remarkably one of the most beautiful views in California! We went across on a double decker bus in mid November! FREEZING winds but made for some funny family memories!!

The SF Bay Bridge is quite beautiful during the day time. Its more beautiful driving into San Francisco (since you are on the upper deck and can see the city as you are driving in) vs driving out (lower deck with the city behind you). Its even more spectacular at night. The lights on the bridge seems to "dance". The... More

I crossed this bridge several times while here on business, and each trip across cost me $5! It's a cool bridge, but it's still not the awesome historic Golden Gate!

When you have seen one bridge you have seen them all, this one is just a bit bigger than most. Best seen in the dark .

When I say the old and the new, I mean it. The old bridge is beautiful in a sense that this is the original bridge many of us have had memories of crossing all the time, and many memories are built from crossing the bridge to get to our final destinations into the city! Beautiful memories I call it. And... More

The San Francisco - Oakland Bay Bridge was built at the same time, during the 1930's Great Depression, as their more glorified neighbor, the Golden Gate Bridge... But the SF-OAK Bay Bridge is built in two sections, the Western and Eastern Spans, both anchored into the bedrock of the Yerba Buena Island, in the center of San Francisco Bay... Since... More
