The Redwood Room off the lobby in the Clift Hotel is a good place to meet friends or business associates after work or on the weekend. The bar offers a variety of seating and tables. Both food and drink are available including salads, seafood and assorted appetizers.

The tired old "Happy Hour" takes on a sophisticated new twist at the Redwood Room in the late afternoon. This dark wood imbues a relaxing ambiance in the late afternoon. All items are reasonably priced at $6.00, making it especially appealing to tired shoppers with thin wallets.

The Clift's Redwood Room is made from one large redwood tree. The wood is amazing. During the day you can see several digital Klimt paintings but at night the frames change; get the story from one of the servers! Delicious drinks and munchies! Don't miss this San Francisco experience right down from Union Square

This is a great place to stop if you don't want to be at a real night club, and not a dive bar. Nice cocktails. Service was ok. Location is perfect. Pretty good DJ, we had a good time.

My Wife and I stopped by Redwood Room and were pleasantly surprised by the creative drinks and upscale ambiance offered. We got there a little before 8, so drinks were around $6-8 on special, stiff pours too, fantastic find!

Arranging a surprise visit from a friend for my partner, this was the perfect spot. Staff are friendly and welcoming and the decor is classy and well apportioned. Cocktails are delicious and of particular note are the vodka martini's with blue cheese olives - yum. They also do delicious appetisers that are a great accompaniment for cocktails.

I have recently visited Redwood Room in San Francisco with a group of business partners for a drink and snacks. The atmosphere is fantastic, very calm lighting, nice music and beautiful waitresses who also happen to be very helpful. I am not a big fan of modern contemporary dinning style but others loved it. I would recommend this place for... More

An elegant room with some "history" because of the bar. Take a seat in the back corner & order some good scotch.

Cool place, good bar, great drinks and paintings that keep an eye on you! Recommended any day of the week. It's got a nice Art Deco feel to it with redwood paneled walls.

. . .you have to have style. Being a trendsetter, good looking, and gainfully employed is key here. Drinks are not cheap and after parking or valet, you are on your way to spending a couple hundred easy. Now if you throw in reserving a table, it’s an expensive night, but well worth it. This is a must-see in San... More
