We went to see Kinky Boots in this ornate grande-dame of a theater. The seating is superb. Feels intimate. Wonderful acoustics. And, of course, the truly fabulous part of theaters such as this one and the Paramount in Oakland is soaking in the architecture, carvings and decor. It didn't hurt that the performance was vibrant and fun.

Turns out we showed up for the Kinky Boots performance a day late. My mistake. BooHoo. Yet, the will-call lady encouraged us to stand by for last minute cancellations. None. Then, her manager and she arranged, as if it were by magic, for us to see the show from Row B, seats 1 and 3…. that is right up front,... More

We love restored classic architecture of old theaters that they don't make anymore. Kinky Boots was a fun production; closest thing to Broadway.

Sitting in this theater and looking around, you're immediately struck by the intricate architecture. From the ornate carved panels on the walls to the lions, ringing the top of the roof, it is certainly impressive. The theater itself is large enough to hold many of the current "big stage" productions; however, it's still small enough to be somewhat intimate. We... More

Having just arrived in San Fran for a short stay, I took the chance to get tickets for Kinky boots. Arriving at the theatre midday I was advised by the lovely attendant that if I was to return before 6pm I could take the chance and procure $40 tickets. Being a Wednesday night and the day before the big storm... More

We have enjoyed seats all over this theater. We have not had a bad seat. Recently we purchased season tickets and have not had a bad show. The theater is classic and ornate. It has great acoustics. Make sure to look up and catch the detail of the ceiling. We park at the Civic Center Parking and it is a... More

Love the Orpheum Theater. Great acoustics, good views from almost every seat and there is actual leg room between the seats. Not so much that you will be stretching your legs out, but at 6 feet tall I'm also not working cramps out after every show. Will call lines typically move very quickly, and for the most part shows start... More

great seats but the theater isnt too big so all seats there are probably good. The sound was spot on and the quality of the show wonderful. The theater itself, the ceiling, is a sight to behold.

My wife and I saw "Chicago." We had balcony seats and we really enjoyed the artwork and ambience of this theatre. The show sounded great, and it was a great experience. Would def. go back for the right show!
