This is a very special park with some nice sculptures and amazing views, while you walk around, though too often missed by tourists and locals.

3* Lincoln Park Golf Course The bad news is this place is run down. The drought has exacerbated the condition of the fairways to where there are very large barren and dirt areas. The ball does travel a little further though. The course is hilly and the greens seem small. The good news is that the views e.g., Golden Gate... More

Some truly amazing views of the Golden Gate Bridge from this lovely and expansive park. We were too late to get into the Legion of Honor (I think they close at 5pm), but did do some unexpected bird watching (osprey & falcon or hawk). Will definitely return on a future trip to SF.

this park is huge, so big that families got there to take a piece of it and sit and have their family picnics and play baseball or football. the flowers, the trees and the statues are beautiful and every thing is so well maintained. it really is a surprise around every corner. never crowded because its so big.

Take a long bus ride on the #1 California. Get off at Clement and walk through the park to the Palace of the Legion of Honor. See the GG Bridge. Smell the plants. Can't be beat.

Lincoln Park got its name by being the western end of the Lincoln Highway, The Lincoln Highway was the first road across the USA. There are stellar views of the Bay, San Francisco skyline, and Golden Gate Bridge from Lincoln Park. We have visited this park often, The Legion of Honor Museum, which is a fine art museum, is here.... More

When I consider the parks that my kids grew up with they had a VW bug compared to the Cadillac parks in SF. Lincoln Park has plenty of room for a picnic, a stroll or hours of fun on the equipment. When you walk to where the equipment is the ground feels like a trampoline. It would be hard to... More

Put on your hiking boots and go! There are amazing hiking tracks, if you are into that, or even if you just want to walk a bit. Not difficult at all, although i reckon you can g a bit off tracks and try some tougher paths. The hike is definitely amazing, with awesome lookouts to the ocean. When i went... More

Here one can feel the winds that have traveled the entire Pacific Ocean. The views are so beautiful, the stuff one sees in films. Take your time, study a map and go for a great walk, there are vistas everywhere you look, so much beauty. The Legion of Honor museum is one of the best in the city, and what's... More

Headland with stunning cliff top views across to the Golden Gate Bridge with fairly gentle paths for a stroll, part of which is formed from a disused railway line that was abandoned when landslides made it too expensive to maintain. Ideal for those a little less mobile, or in wheelchairs. After a while the walk can become a little more... More
