Went in there during my stay in San Francisco. Had a better collection of comics than I imagined. The employees were extremely helpful in aiding me in looking for a specific issue that I was looking for. They also give free bags and boards for all comics! They also had a very nice selection of stuffed animals and classic toys... More

Went to get comic books for my son and he was a bit disappointed that it was so difficult to get first issues of any of the newer series. He was hoping to start at the beginning of one of the modern series. He did find a couple of comic books that were worth buying, but we will need to... More

I am really suprised to see so many model airplanes when I first walked into the store. I am very happy as I have been looking for model airplanes in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Finally, in san Francisco I found what I want. The price of the model aircraft is between US$13 -$40 for a scale 1/400. It was... More

I took my son to this toy store back in Sept. '07. While walking to the back of the store where all the plush/infant toys are kept I noticed the *strong* smell of pot smoke (!!) drifting out of the "employees only" door. Yes, this is San Francisco and yes I am an adult but puh-leeze keep your drugs out... More

I took my daughter to Jeffrey's today. After entering the store along the doll wall, I realized they were playing [---] rap music swear words and all. I went to the cashier and told them to change the music. They looked at me with total indifference. Finally they changed it to another rap station playing the same stuff. i don't... More

Jeffrey's Toys is one of the last remaining toy stores with colorful variety, helpful staff and some of the best toys in San Francisco. Unlike corporate toy stores that push four or five specific lines of toys, Jeffrey's showcases hundreds of toys, from figures, to collectables, plush to puppets, anime to educational to action figures. There is truly something for... More

My first visit to Jeffrey's was a wonderful experience...so much so that I returned a few hours later and browsed some more. The store is located next to or near some wonderful art galleries. What makes this store such a find is that it does not just cater to a narrow genre of entertainment. There is a healthy blend of... More

I found the toy I wanted to buy and to my surprise, they do free gift-wrapping.

This place is not bad. Prices are high though. This is probably due to the fact they are a small store and dont get discounts like larger retailers. But even with high prices, they have figures that may be hard to get at other stores. I have bought a few figures from their store because they had them in stock... More

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
