Yes, The Buena Vista Cafe is technically a restaurant but it is also an attraction not to be missed. If you love Irish Coffee this is where it all started. The attraction factor comes in when watching the Irish coffee prepared. It is like watching an assembly line of coffee drinks. Also most of the time the tables are shared... More

We were staying at tHe Argonaut across teh road, and visited on our forst night for a night cap. The coffees were so good we ended up visiting every night of our stay. Great service, good location but worth the trip for the Irish Coffee alone.

This is a quintessential tourist attraction - the place where Irish Coffee was invented. Packed to the gills most of the time, we stopped by several times and weren't willing to wait. Third time was the charm and we sat down late morning for a couple of Irish Coffees. There's a reason they are famous for the drink. It truly... More

Good for tourists but as a local you have many better choices. The Irish coffee is actually really good and draws tons of people. Crowded especially cause of the proximity to water. Try it!!

Nothing like Irish coffee for breakfast? We were headed out of town in the morning but of course I had to get the famous Irish coffee. The cook did a great job on the breakfast - nothing too greasysy and it all tasted wonderfully home cooked. Personally wasn't a fan of the Irish coffee but I'm sure that's more me.... More

Renknowned Irish coffee lives up to its billing and reputation. Had the meatloaf which was also very presented and very tasty. Staff were friendly, courteous and service was quick, hassle free and exactly what was needed after a lengthy walk from downtown. Would recommend for sure if you're nearby to Fisherman's Wharf.

This place is a must for us at least once on every trip to SFO. We love the Irish Coffee and the food (especially the fries) is pretty good also. A lot of fun to sit at the bar and watch the gent make the coffee. It is often crowded.

I have been here several times. I can't say enough positive things about this place. Of course, everyone ones of the Irish Coffee, the "Nutty" is a nice switch, I'd you dare... an Irish Car Bomb. I love the breakfast, love the potatoes that they serve with it. His place is doing something right, many of the staff have been... More
