First time visitor to this much loved establishment. A friend took us there on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The place was PACKED! Not even a place to stand. We were invited to join a table where they had open seats....how cool. Other couples were also visiting and we had a fun conversation with all. Of course had to get their... More

This is a must-do for a trip to SFO. Bay and bridge views, trolley station and delicious Irish Coffees are the reason we stop here first when we come to town. The breakfast is good but, really, anytime of day/night is a great visit! Some of the staff has been there 35+ years- wow!

The Buena Vista is a very crowded bar near Fisherman's Wharf, famous for Irish Coffee. The popularity means that it is always full and you have to fight your way to the bar for service. However, you should experience an Irish Coffee from here at least once, just to say that you have had one in the self proclaimed birthplace... More

Great place to check out while in San Francisco. Not only is it a great atmosphere but you also get a delicious coffee with a strong kick of Irish flavor. Make sure to add this to your list while visiting the Bay Area. Tick it off your bucket list.

This is a famous restaurant with an interesting history. You must go and get an Irish coffee and read the history on the menu. Very crowded but worth the wait.

No one orders anything but the Irish Coffee and there is a reason for that...it is really the best here. Great for a short stop in between attractions to get out of the weather and sip on something wonderful!!

My wife had her first drink, of course Irish Coffee, at Buena Vista so it was our first stop in SF. Taking the 30 bus off of Union Station which gave us a great tour of Chinatown and dropped us a block from the Buena Vista. Such a cool place. It was packed but the waiter told us that the... More

Was there a long long time ago during college and had return to see if the Irish Coffee was still as good as I remembered. This time with the family in tow. It is still that good! Chilly August day, particularly for this Florida boy, and frankly the warm burn of the Irish Coffee and the smooth cream was just... More
