Far from Disneyland, we couldn't believe there is a museum devoted to Walt Disney in San Francisco. The building is fairly small with the exhibits starting on the first floor, continuing onto the second floor, and the. Following a circular curving ramp downward to the first floor again. The entry area has Academy Award statues and Emmys. Beyond that the... More

Amazing collection of Walt Disney's life. Learned a lot of new things that I never learned at Disneyland or Disney World.

If you are into anything Disney, you will love the Walt Disney Family Museum at the Presidio in San Francisco. We've all heard about Disneyland & Walt Disney World, but this museum takes you back to the beginning when the early Disney family members came to America and Walt's childhood and what led up to the amazing accomplishments of the... What an absolute brilliant museum to honor such an incredible man. This interactive and extensive museum spotlights the life and career of Walt Disney. The displays feature interactive screens, videos, and exhibits that explore the career of this man. I thoroughly enjoyed this exhibits. Children may find this to be a bit boring because it isn't affiliated with "Disneyland" or... More

This museum is not for everyone. However, I was fascinated by the story of Walt Disney's life & the creation of the Disney company, Oswald, Disneyland, etc. High-tech, interactive displays; really cool. Caveat: my husband & I enjoyed it far more than our 9 & 13 yr olds did. (Tip: take free bus from Embarcadero to Presidio, round trip. Check... More

Three adults and two children 5 and 7. The kids were not as entertained as the adults. We knew this would be the case based on friends and reviews. We spent about two hours walking through and the adults agreed we could have easily spent at least two more hours enjoying the exhibits had we not had the kids. I... More

We are big Disney fans and going to the museum was thrilling to us. Seeing the Oscar for Snow White was wonderful. My daughters and I plan to return again. There is so much to see.

The Walt Disney Family Museum was very interesting and definitely worth the price. Students get a $5 discount. It may not be something everyone has heard of but it brought back a lot of childhood memories!

We thought this would be a quaint little museum and were blown away by the 17 rooms overflowing with Disney memorabilia, details from Walt's life, and thousands of original animation drawings and cells. Very well worth the small admission price!
