First, this is not for those who have just a little or no interest in Walt Disney. The museum follows his life from birth to death with much of the history of animated film in between. The museum is well laid out in chronological order. There are stills and short film pieces to demonstrate each part of Disney's life. They... More

The building is deceptive from the outside. So much more behind the man is displayed at this museum. It is from the family perspective so it is personal. Not necessarily a place to bring young children. It is more for adults who grew up with Disney.

The Walt Disney Family Museum is a great place to learn more about the Man the created the mouse. We anticipated our visit for many years...and because of this we expected a lot more. It isn't for every Disney fan, but worth the visit if you have the time...and a coupon.

This was an incredible find and a place you could lose yourself in for hours. Fascinating insight to Walt Disney and his trials and tribulations into creating cartoons that have become part of all our lives. Take the time out to go and visit but be prepared to spend at least 2 to 3 hours wandering around.

We took in the Mary Blair exhibit, and it was well worth the price of admission. The main exhibit was huuuuge! There is a bit of a backlog at the beginning, as everyone tries to read every single bit of information. As people make their way through, they tend to skip over more stuff, a spread out more. Honestly, if... More

Stumbled upon this museum driving through Presidio and decided to stop by. We were welcomed by a wall of all of Walt Disney's Oscar's and awards. As we walked through we were treated to an insight of how Walt worked and the machines that he built to make his films. A truly wonderful experience but the only downside is that... More

This really deserves a lot of time as there is plenty to digest. Certainly not suitable for small children. There was a fairly comprehensive cafe for drinks and snacks. Downside - I live in the UK and wish it was nearer as I would go often

I loved the history behind my favourite fairytales and seeing old photographs of Walt and his family. However I don't think it's worth paying the extra $5 for the Mary blair exhibit unless you are a big fan of hers. Best to go during the morning as In the afternoon you have to manoeuvre your way in between people to... More

A great museum dedicated to the life and story of Walt Disney the man, not the Disney empire. While there are some fun, interactive exhibits this isn't really a museum for kids. Would recommend 2 hours to go through the whole place, 3 if you like to read every plaque. Also cool that they let you take pictures throughout.
