What a relief to get to the Disney family museum!! Disney do everything well and with pride. No corners are cut here. The museum at Presideo was easy to accesss by public transport. The display itself mixes all media to "tell the Disney story". A seriously awesome display - whoever put it together has done an amazing job. It suits... More

For people like myself who look to Walt Disney as a hero and someone who truly left behind a long lasting legacy, this museum is a fantastic visit. It's a brilliant tribute to an amazing man and is great to see so many things from his life being appropriately preserved for generations to come. All in all a well spent... More

An incredible look into the life of Walt Disney. For the casual fan there is a history of his genius and how Mickey, the classic movies and Disneyland came about. For the serious fan you can learn how family and environment shaped his thinking and what drove him to be the creative mastermind behind all of these things. You could... More

If you're interested in the history of this magical man and his vision, then this is a must-see! The Walt Disney Family Museum takes you back to the very beginning of his struggles to make it in the film and animation business, though trials and tribulations, bankruptcy, family loans, partnerships, then budding success, and finally triumph. With thousands of photos,... More

Our family spent a lovely few hours at the Disney museum. There's really so much to see that we couldn't have done it in less time! Little ones might get restless as it feels like the exhibits are aimed more at grownups. If you have children ages 10 and up, it would probably be more enjoyable for them than it... More

If you enjoy learning about a genius and how he got his inspiration along with unbelievable work ethics, this is a great place to visit. The museum goes through Disney's family and work history and how Mickey and Disneyland and everything thereafter were created and all the various geniuses involved in making such a great real life story happen. It... More

We visited this museum in August. While it is not Disneyland, - and this museum is not for that purpose - it beautifully traces the life of Walt Disney through his struggles and tribulations in building his magic and his legacy. We were lucky to see the Mary Blair exhibition while we were there - she was one of his... More

In my experience, you don't need to book in advance. On reading an earlier review I checked by phone and upon arrival at the museum had no problem getting a ticket. The museum is beautifully presented, the Presido is a wonderful location. Overall you need about 2-3 hours to complete the museum but there are lots of places to stop... More

We were blown away by the size and depth of this museum. It covered Walt Disney's entire life and career, and even if you are not a super fan, it was incredibly interesting. Many "one of a kind" items likes awards, sketches, family photos, etc... The museum is beautifully curated, with many interactive exhibits. The location on the Presidio is... More
