A beautiful tribute to Walt Disney

We are huge Disney fans, so it was a no-brainer that we would include this as part of our San Francisco itinerary. We were surprised how much we loved our trip there and wished we allotted more time. The museum is thoughtfully created with lots of interesting information and artifacts. The rooms are colorfully eye-catching and have lots of interactive... More

One of the must-see in SF esp if you love Disney ! A special lovely museum focusing on Walt Disney's journey on this planet earth from the day he was born, grew up, started off his animation career, met Lilian Bounds, fell in love, got married & had family, all his amazinggg achievements, how he built the Disney business kingdom.... Nice display of awards and Walt Disnet personal effects. Lighting is very poor though and the self guided tour is somewhat difficult to follow. Teenagers were bored rather quickly. Could use some reorcganization to really be enjoyable. The letters sent at Walts death were very touching

I didn't expect this museum to be really lovely. Here you get to read about their family history and how the business started. The exhibits are amazing like they have drafts of character designs and such, and there were also screens showing some animations. There was also a miniature Disneyland and the business plan (I think?) that was used was... More

A truly amazing museum with history intertwined with magic. The highlight was that we got to build our own Disney Princess Castle - good to see Disney stimulating creativity even in their museums!

Great museum, the place is huge (kind of like Disneyland lines in that you don't realize how big it is till you are done because it just keep going in to more and more rooms) - you could easily spend 8 hours here if you read everything. Which we did not, but there is so much about Walt that we... More

Small little museum about Walt Disney, his family, upbringing and the creation of Disneyland. Definitely a place to bring out of towners for a visit.

An astonishing museum, this love-offering to the world from Walt's daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren is top-notch. Interactive exhibits, knowledgeable staff, hundreds of artifacts and personal effects... I could have spent several days there and not seen it all. Besides the slick technology, there is still a heartfelt simplicity to it all, a warmth, rather, showing what a tribute and labor... More

I was iffy on this but it turned out to be excellent. My kids are huge fans, especially my 14 year old. So much interesting info about Walt Disney and lot of memorabilia so it keeps everyone interested. Google for a coupon. Also the cafe there is very good. Nice selection. Also if you go there you can take a... More

This museum was amazingly curated, organised and designed. Whether you're interested in animation, the parks, or just Walt himself this museum has something for everyone, from the casual visitor to the hardcore fanatic. It has the advantage of containing real pieces of Disney history, from the seven dwarf Oscars for Snow White, to the first sketch of Mickey, to the... More
