There has been a fair bit of cash thrown at this museum, it reeks of quality! Really impressive! There is almost TOO MUCH going on here, it would take all day to take it all in! But, whatever time you have to spend here you will have a proper good experience, but try to put aside at least 2-3 hours.... More

This is an excellent museum that contains a lot of well-presented material in a natural flow. There is room for special exhibits, and even the few people who aren't Disney fans could appreciate the vast variety and time-span of the museum. The one thing that amazed me was how small the gift shop was. I was prepared to buy a... More

Full disclosure - I am a certified Disney Geek. I have wanted to go to this museum since it opened and not found the time until now. I timed my visit specifically so I could go to the Mary Blair Exhibition. I live out of state, for me this involved a flight, rental car, hotel stay etc... It was worth... More

I as young adult truly appreciated the collections found in this museum. There are no rides, no games for kids - please know this. :) It is more like a visual and interactive documentary on Walt Disney's life and his influences, struggles and creation of his legacy. Everything is very well explained, with amazing original drawings, videos and audio. The... More

I did not expect much from this museum but was amazed by how much I enjoyed it. It has a large collection of artifacts and information about Walt Disney and the entertainment empire that he created. The museum is in a former military base which is now a park filled with trees and other attractions.

We thought we should check this out since I grew up watching the disney show every Sunday and watched all his feature cartoon movies many times eps. Fantasia. You have to go early and get a coupon on line for a discount. It takes all day to visit this museum and they also have a feature movie in their theater.... More

My family and I came into this museum thinking we were going to see a few small show rooms with disney memorabilia. Not only where we overwhelmed with the abundance of that, we were also awed by the sheer size of the museum. Anything and everything you could possibly think of was shown and explained perfectly in room after room... More

Located in the beautiful Presido. this is not to be missed if you like Disney. It is also a great jumping off point to see the Presido and walk to the golden gate bridge and beyond. Also visit LUCAS film in the old Letterman hospital. Great for Star wars fans

Such a great experience to read and learn about Walt Disney and how he became the greatest illustrator that we all know today. The museum is very large and has great artifacts of his early drawings of mickey, steamboat willie and snow white!
