The tour is very long especially if you want to read everything. If you have a day to spend it would be well worth it.
The museum reveals a life of greatness and the many things we didn't know about Walt Disney before he opened his Disneyland dream. Very worth while to spend a few hours reviewing this great mans' life.
I've had a life-long appreciation for all things Disney - the man, the movies, the parks. I ended up spending a full day here - I started with the special exhibit of Mary Blair, then had lunch across the street at the Transit Cafe, followed by a screening of Lady and the Tramp and then the main museum. There is... More
Its an interesting place that i thought was going to be boring but it actually worked as an interesting place for me and for my toddler. It takes like 2 hours and you can walk the presidio
The Disney family museum contains wonderful exhibits from Walt's early life, business ventures, family life, and then the more familiar cartoon creations. They have a lot of interesting displays and very informative audio companion descriptions. They have a multi-plane camera on display as well as the Carrolwood Pacific train. You could spend a good three hours here if you have... More
Great museum on the history of Walt Disney. I would not recommend for young children. Lots to read and see. Very interesting exhibits. Cool to see the actual awards (Academy) in real life. Disappointed that the special exhibit was even more money beyond the cost for general admission. Cafe was reasonably priced and staff was friendly.
My husband and I went to The Disney Family Museum for the first time yesterday to celebrate my friend's 30th birthday. We are annual passholders to Disneyland and are self proclaimed Disneyphiles, we are also educators who love learning in all capacities. This museum is must see for all who appreciate Disney's legacy and want to know more about the... More
For us in our 60's it was a really interesting visit. Having grown up with Disneyland TV and all the cartoons it was fascinating to see the development of Walt Disney creations and his life and career. The museum is really well done and in great detail. In three hours we felt like we just scratched the surface. I'm not... More
We went to the museum as the weather wasn't good and we could be inside. It is a lovely museum in the Presidio area. Very informative and about Walt Disney as other reviewers have mentioned. Not in a lot of the guide books surprisingly. Quite a grown up exhibit. Was interesting seeing Saving Mr Banks afterwards. Also we were astonished... More
We were visiting another company on the property and had some time to spend here. It is in a beautiful location. The self guided tour is in an old building with many rooms. It is only well worth the cost ($20/person) if you can listen to all the audio and view the running videos and if you are a big... More
