If it wasn't for the long delay waiting for buses and the fact that I only had an afternoon, things would have been wonderful. I liked the routes and want to return to do all the others routes someday. Two-day pass is the way to go.

I generally like to take these types of tours whenever we travel to major cities to get a good feel of the area. I've probably been on 15-20 of these all over the world. This was the worst of all of them. You have to wait and wait for the busses at the various stops. The Sausalito buses only get... More

I bought a three day pass for the City Sightseeing tour. This included three days to use the hop on hop off buses as well as the Muir Woods route. I definitely got my money's worth from the three day pass. My favorite route was the Golden Gate Bridge/Sausalito one. The views of the bridge are beautiful. The bus stops... More

Heard mixed reviews about these tours in other cities, but was recommended by our hotel staff as a quick way to see a lot. The fact that you could get off an on for 24 hours was a great benefit. Some waits may be longer than others, but that depends on how long you walk around a particular site, NOT... More

So we sign up to take a sightseeing tour and then wait, and wait and wait and wait for the bus to come. We finally decide to take a cab back to our hotel and I call the next day to ask for a refund. They say it will be no problem -- except it is a problem. No one... More

We found the stories and history of San Fransisco to be very inconsistent from one tour guide to another. Some tour guides were very good, others very poor. Buses often left early or they changed departures with no notice. The hop on hop off stops were not marked at all. Got very tired of the tour guide begging for tips,... More

There were at least three competing tour operators. The concierge suggested this operator and while I can't say it is better or worse than the others AI was very pleased. Since it was my first time in the city I opted for the full One Day all three tours. I believe it was like $45.

Had a great couple of days using the hop on hop off buses run by City Sightseeing. Great tour guides- Jacky, Sparkle & the great guy on the red line on Monday morning!! Funny anecdotes, good knowledge - nothing was an issue for any of the staff. Always friendly & helpful!! Would recommend this tour company to anyone who asks!... More

We had a fantastic experience with this company. We had a one day pass within our package deal and arrived about 8.45am to see what trips we could go on. I was disappointed in myself for not having pre-booked the Alcatraz tickets and mentioned this to the guide. He told us to go straight over to the office which was... More

This is a great way of seeing the city. My only criticism is that we had purchased the tickets online before arriving in San Francisco and had to go to the business main office to receive coupons before we could use the buses. The office was nowhere near our hotel. In hind sight we could have easily purchased ticket from... More
