I must admit I was pretty tired when I walked through it on the way to Fisherman's Wharf from the Golden Gate Bridge so might not have appreciated it. However if you go there to play Frisbee and walk you dogs as well as a good view of them bridge, it is probably a better time. There is also some... More

Love walking along the beach for a mile or so in late afternoon enjoying beautiful sunsets with scenes of folks walking and riding bikes across this spectacular city icon "Golden Gate Bridge". Great way to meet people or people watch, too. Also, there's an excellent sporting goods store near Crissy Field that rents bikes very reasonably.

It's large and open and green. I'm always a fan of large green spaces in the city. It has some spectacular views of the Golden Gate Bridge. When you're there head on over to Sports Basement and rent some bikes. You can ride a path from just under the bridge all the way to the Ramp Restaurant and Bar in... More

I love this little park area for its views of the city and of the Golden Gate. There are lots of places to walk or picnic. Take the road all the way to the end for fantastic views up to the bridge. You can also explore Fort Point, right under the bridge.

Lovely little park with lots of trails and great views of the bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. If you are traveling with a dog this would be a great place to take it to play.

Great place to see the Golden Gate Bridge, especially during sunset. The angle and the light would be perfect for taking pictures. The location is a bit deserted.

My absolute favorite picnic area. Plenty of room to roam, tables everywhere, and beach access. Popular with locals on the weekends. Bring a blanket and a sweater. Public restrooms are a bit dirty.

A quintessential SF walk out to the Golden Gate bridge along a well-paved trail and steps away from beach/ocean/lagoon and the City. The Warming Hut is a good stop for a snack, with a nice selection of local gifts as well. We never tire of this walk, no matter the weather!
