Crissy Field is perfectly situated between the bustle of the Pier and the Golden Gate Bridge. Offering a tranquil expanse of grass, and wild flower during the warmer months, beach and nearby Fort Point. Enjoy a ride by as you make your way to the bridge or stop to rest and have lunch while you take it all in. Also,... More

What a great place. Crissy Field is vast and often hosts large events. We were there during Fleet Week and the place was crammed with sightseers and military exhibits. It's also great for picnics or just lying on the grass soaking up some California sun. You choose!

Crissy Field was such a perfect place to take in the view of the Golden Gate bridge while watching kite surfers, people walking their dogs, and general play. Loved just sitting down and relaxing.

We combined a visit to Crissy fields with Fort Point and the Bridge. Magic views of Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay. We really enjoyed a walk along the seafront and stopped off for breakfast on the way. A visit here though is totally weather permitting as there isn't really anything to do if its raining.

Walked along the beach - cheering on the runners of the Bridge to Bridge marathon. Nice to put our toes in the sand - watching the kids and puppies playing in the surf. Also some great opportunities for photos of the bridge with the much wanted San Fran fog!

Great place to visit to get stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. We drove here and parked and walked around the field. Definitely a neat little walk with spectacular views of the bridge, the bay and Alcatraz.

Walk along the side of Crissy Field to get great views of the bridge and sit outside the little cafe with a cofe to take in the views.

We rode through Crissy Field on the way to Golden Gate Bridge and stopped for coffee at the little hut near the marina. We had gluten free donuts which were a blast for a Coeliac and the coffee was great. It was a well timed stop having ridden up a couple of hills and a couple yet to go!

I was expecting Crissy Field to be all flat since it once was a US Army airfield, but it is a collection of different outdoor spaces to be enjoyed for walking, cycling, picnicking, bird watching, take the dogs out, opened to the public since 2001. After our visit to the Palace of Fine Arts we entered Crissy Field through the... More
