Dip your feet in the Ocean and take wonderful pictures of the Golden Gate bridge... Afterwards go grab a coffee in the cafeteria just behind the beach, and enjoy the view.
I have a very soft spot for this beautiful park. It's perfect for a stroll, a jog, a bike ride, &/or a walk on the beach. Amazing photo opportunities of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, as well as lots of shore birds, sailboats and the like. Nothing to dislike.
We rented bikes on Fisherman's Wharf and biked (my 9 and 6yo sons) to Crissy Field and the Golden Gate Bridge. We stopped at Crissy Field for some GREAT photos and relaxing. The SFMOMA installation was neat to see. In general, a beautiful large, open space right on the water with great GG Bridge views and neat exhibits at the... More
Now one can walk along the Bay the entire way from the Financial District/Embarcadero/Ball Park all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge. Fisherman's wharf gets a little overrun with traffic but otherwise its wide sidewalks, separate bike paths (numerous rental opportunities) and parks. Crissy is a favorite because I'm a windsurfer and this is the City's great boarding venue.... More
Lots of families enjoying a November afternoon, great for walking, biking and saw several people fishing. You could see the fog rolling in and great views of San Francisco! Enjoyed this area quite a bit!
Crissy Field is a pleasant way to spend an afternoon. You get great views of the Golden Gate, Alcatraz, Marin/North Bay, and Angel Island. On pleasant weekend days you'll get to see boats on the bay. Fort Mason is a little known attraction right at the foot of the bridge. The nearby neighborhood of the Marina has some great little... More
San Franciscans flock to Crissy field to hike, walk their dogs, push strollers and breathe in the crisp cool air. Check outthe vast Sports Basement for that little something your forgot to bring…shoes, hat, sunscreen, a bike…a sweatshirt...
Want to give the kids room to run it off? How about this big field, excellent for soccer, kite flying, picnics, rolling in the grass, or whatever, right next to the shore, with gorgeous views? And it's all close to the Fisherman's Wharf area.
Wonderful view of the Golden Gate Bridge and not crowded. We started at the Palace of Fine Arts(-which is incredibly beautiful) after leaving the Muni. We wandered down the beach toward the bridge, but you can't get onto the bridge from crissy field. I did not know at the time, but there is a Presidio shuttle which will take you... More
Stopped here while en route to bike across the bridge. It's a great place to sit in the sun and read a book or play frisbee or fly a kite, or do whatever it is you want to do. The views of the bridge are some of the best I think from this spot, and it's often a lot less... More
