....is a View to a Kill! Yup, they used this actual city hall when James Bond went to San Francisco in 1985s A View to a Kill. That alone is worth the trip, especially since it still looks the exact same as it did in the film. If you are not a big Bond fan, than city hall is in... More

My partner & I got married here after 36 years together. Everyone we encountered in the City Hall was friendly & helpful. The person who married us (Stephanie) was great & so sweet & put us right at ease. We had time to kill pre-ceremony & had a light lunch in the cafe here & the women working there were... More

This is a popular destination for weddings, and once you see the inside of the building you'll see why.

We got married here in August 2014 after 18 years together. The space was amazing. Wedding first thing in the morning while it is quiet was a great recommendation by our photographer

This is a stunning neoclassical building built after the great earthquake of 1906, explained on a guided tour by a knowledgeable guide who provides information not only on the building and its recent renovation, but the people behind it, the government of San Francisco and some of the events that have taken place in it.

Seriously, it's free and architecturally impressive so go check it out! We arrive there around 5:00 and it was empty. We just walked right in and were able to freely roam where ever we wanted. We took tons of pictures. The inside is awesome and I would love to get married there.

We stayed near the City Hall so we stopped by for about 15 minutes. Beautiful building, and it looks great when lit up at night as well.

My husband and I were visiting a friend at her office not too far away when she recommended stopping in at City Hall on the way out of the area. We didn't know that it was a replica at the time, just admired the beauty of the building for about an hour and took a lot of photos! There were... More

Considering the history witnessed in this gorgeous building, it makes me crazy that visitors spend most of their time in the cheesy tourist traps at Fisherman's Wharf. At city hall you'll witness where the first same sex marriages in California took place (Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe were married here too incidentally)! Sadly this is also where Harvey Milk and... More

One of the better town or city halls, often they are just basic and functional, this one stands out for its architectural quality. They don't make them like this any more.
