San Francisco City Hall is magnificient with beautiful architure of the whole building and more particularly the dome . Its stands pride looks grand .
We were fortunate enough to get a tour with just us and the guide. He provided an excellent free 90-minute talk on the history of the building and the city of San Francisco. Well worth a visit!
the San Francisco city hall building is by all means very beautiful and impressing in its surroundings but the attempt to compare it to the San Peter's basilica in Rome made me feel a bit phony. it is obviously not as old as the basilica and just uses the same amazing architecture.

It is grand and gorgeous. It is the first place gay couples married in the US and the happy vibes from those beautiful days have vanquished the ghosts of the hideous massacre of Mayor Moscone and Harvey Milk.

You simply show up about 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the tour, go through security and sign...

What a stunning building, absolutely majestic for a government building. Very worth a walk around all three floors and also looking in the various offices. Was told to visit here and be amazed and the person was certainly correct.
San Francisco City Hall houses many business offices including marriages as we did and what better place to get married? A San Francisco landmark.
Well worth a visit if in this part of SF. Beautiful architecture with extensive display of marble - no expense spared when built. It's not surprising that it's a hit venue for weddings functions etc. and a number of weddings were underway when we visited.
It's also possible to sit in the meetings and see the 'city fathers' in action....
