This is a wonderful new museum. If you can, try to arrange for a tour guide to walk you through. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and really added a great deal to the experience. Each piece was full of meaning and was thought provoking. more

I VISITED the JEWISH MUSEUM on Tuesday and found it disappointing. I thought it should have more work...just plain "more"... This museum is terrible. It just opened up to much fanfare, but the first impression is a bad one. Such a shame too, as the building architecture is very innovative. But, alas, you cannot judge this book by its cover as the collection lacks any real substance or connection to Judaism. A brief collage and collection of kitsch of Jews... more

The new location officially opened today, and it really is quite amazing. The outside has a contemporary look, and the inside is airy and welcoming. I'm not sure any exhibits are traveling, but they were all captivating. Both kids and kids at heart will enjoy the William Steig collection as he drew for the New Yorker and for a number... more
