My mother and I visited the Pacific Heights neighbourhood during the afternoon of August 2nd. We arrived there via MUNI bus from the Mission District. I really enjoyed wandering the residential streets in this neighbourhood and discovering some amazing views and beautiful mansions for houses to admire. The intersections of Broadway and Vallejo Streets and Fillmore and Steiner Streets offered... More

Hilly Pacific Heights has the general boundaries of Bush Street, Presidio Avenue, Union Street and Van Ness Avenue. For those who enjoy shopping, many mostly upscale shops exist on Fillmore Street. As an architecture buff, however, I find it fun to amble through the quiet, residential parts of the neighborhood, looking at the myriad mansions and the lovely Painted Ladies... More

Aptly name Pacific Heights sports the San Francisco version of Beverly Hills or any top tiered area. The homes, many large upgraded Victorians, are fabulous to see and to imagine the views. Nice to walk through but better to drive through and admire. ...

A nice place to take a walk. Be prepared for the hills. Nice views of the city and the bay. Very nice and very expensive homes in the neighbourhood.

This area is just stunning. I spent 4 hours walking the street and marvelling at the wonderful architecture. A beautiful area worth exploring.

What a beautiful part of San Francisco as these gorgeous mansions grace the neighborhood. Uniquely adorned they show the richness of the area.

Located at 2356 Pine Street, near Fillmore, a collection of expensive Victorian homes delights visitors. Constructed in the 1890s these survived the 1906 earthquake and subsequent horrific fire. I found that by walking through the side streets many surprising delights. There’s a rather suggestive “Tin Man” at one home. That insightful people chose to restore and preserve these magnificent homes... More

The section at the top of the hill at Broadway and Lyons and nearby s magnificent, both in terms of the houses and also the views. Expect a very steep walk, no matter which direction you come from. But worth it.

The structures in this section are quite stunning. Very well maintained buildings give this area a defined looked. One can tell that a lot of money has been spent to maintain these homes. Nice to either walk or drive through and enjoy.
