Once glorious and still glorious thanks to lots of money allocated to maintaining these beautiful expensive homes with great architecture and beautiful details, gorgeous colorful flowers and gardens attached...a must see as part of understanding this city's residential neighborhoods with great views.

Elevated to heights of elegance and grandeur by a highly informative city tour. The story of wealth, courage, Philanthropy and eccentricity told through the architectural story of some wonderful homes and schools. Very enjoyable tour by expert guide. Well worth it.

This is one of the best neighborhoods in San Francisco. It is at the top of one of the hills. Many great homes and nice shops. Do go there.

WOW.... if only to be rich!!! Most of the homes here were simply stunning and so massive. Spectacular views, very beautiful. Its such an interesting drive/walk through here and you just want to stop at every home and take pictures. We saw Danielle Steele's place and many other famous people's homes, simply awesome. Well worth a visit and a look... More

Pacific Heights is a beautiful neighborhood, with beautiful homes - and it affords one of the nicest, scenic (and relatively quiet) walks in the city ! Get a flier with the locations/descriptions of the sites - and stroll the streets !

This is where most of San Francisco's wealthiest live. Houses cost from US$5M upwards. Most are grand and most have spectacular views of the Marin Headlands. When I used to live in San Francisco, I would play tennis in the neighborhood's parks.

Walked to Pacific Heights from Union Square area - about 3 kilometers. Loved these magnificent homes. The views of Alcatraz and the bay are fantastic too.

We got the taxi driver to drop us off right in the heart of Pacific Heights in order to photograph some of the best properties in San Fran. And often the most photographed properties. Lovely neighbourhood.

If I could afford a home in the bay area, I would love to live in one of the multi-million dolloar homes here. Beautiful and charming. One can dream can't they? Unless you have at least $5 million dollars (average price of PH home) then that dream can be a reality.

My husband and I got off the "Hop on Hop off bus" to take the time to really enjoy this area of high priced homes. The walking is a little challenging, but it will make you appreciate the bus when it returns! The houses are just so unique!
