I honestly had never heard of Beach Blanket Babylon until I read about it on Trip Advisor! I ordered tickets well in advance (balcony reserved seating - seats downstairs are "first come first served"). I was not disappointed. It was a great night of music, dancing, and laughter! It was definitely one of the best evenings on our San Francisco... More

We went for the Sunday afternoon matinee, myself, husband and two 16 year olds. I worried that we wouldn't understand the American jokes but it was no problem, we all howled with laughter the whole show through. It's a must do, you have to book well in advance so plan ahead. Dress is smart casual. The matinees only offer soft... More

This is a high energy revue full of popular culture and political references. Yes the costumes are outrageous and so is the dialogue which makes fun of just about everyone in the news these days. But the small cast (10 players with a uncountable number of costume changes) is very talented: great singers, dancers, etc. We attended a matinee and... More

Funny and always Entertaining. I enjoyed it so much last year when I was visiting SFO, that when I was able to go back this year, I immediately booked it. It's always changing so there's always new and funny things. Love the old theater charm, too.

This was a very entertaining production. I wasn't sure that I would like it, but i found the current events humor to be fresh and witty. Even the drink service in the theater was good. We sat in the balcony upstairs and were satisfied. Get closer if you can, but it isn't worth much more. Overall, thoroughly enjoyable show.

This show is a landmark in SF, and they do a good job of keeping the humor current and topical. Some of the performers have amazing voices, and the club itself has a nice vibe. But the tickets are very expensive; even the "cheap" seats on a Wednesday night were fairly pricey. But the show was fun and we're glad... More

Saw the show in the middle '80s when it was fresh, daring, cutting edge silly fun, unlike anything you might be able to see anywhere else. A repeat visit in '14 to see how the show has held up was a disappointment. Where once it was a unique expression of the local gay community's explosive emergence into celebratory visibility, it's... Awesome show with talented people. The hour and a half show went by very fast. Recommend this as a definite must see if in SF. Be sure to get there about an hour ahead for open seating tickets.
