We had perfect weather, so we spent a wonderful 1.5 hour tour . You can move around the ferry if you want to see things from different angles. Bathrooms and a concession/bar have sodas, beer and snacks, so it's an easy and relaxing trip. We did the tour that made a longer loop around Alcatraz Island and included some additional... More

We arrived to Pier 39 about an hour before our intended departure time and paid for our bay cruise. Almost as soon as we walked away from the booth, an announcement was made that the cruise was canceled. We went back to the booth and they refunded our money. As we were still standing in front of the cashier, another... More

I did the 60 minute bay cruise, goes around the Bay, under the Golden Gate and around Alcatraz. You have the option to do a 90 minute cruise that includes a tour of Alcatraz but I skipped that. The Bay Cruise was more than sufficient, commentary was good and pointed out a lot of highlights along the route. The boat... More

One of the highlights of San Francisco is going out on the Bay and seeing the skyline of San Francisco and getting close to the Golden Gate Bridge. Both of these things are iconic San Francisco. While the boat itself is a basic sightseeing boat, its a nice hour or so. One also gets a good view of Alcatraz -... More

If we wish to visit San Francisco in a day, better NOT to miss the Bay cruise adventure trip, lasting an hour. we can see the majestic golden gate bridge underneath, go around historical Alcatraz and Angel island. We can see the city of San Francisco , all from a closer and clear points from the ferry. If one has... More

We have visited The City many times in our lives and our adult daughters live there but we have never taken this trip...what a wonderful activity it was! We took the Blue & Gold Fleet Ferry from Pier 39 to Tiburon at 3:45 on a glorious Sunday afternoon, walked around the charming town and admired the tribute to recently deceased... More

..with all that entails. Long lines in an uncovered area to shuffle onboard a boat where everyone is vying for a good spot. Or THE spot. We had done several before, so we chose a spot inside on the lower deck and couldn't have been happier. We could hear the narration, it wasn't crowded and I could see everything I... More

Included with our City Pass we upgraded to the trip around Alcatraz Island . . . after being disappointed that actual Alcatraz tours were booked ahead for over six weeks. A good choice with the upgrade as our Captain made two rounds of the island after circling out in the bay under the Golden Gate Bridge. We were forwarned that... More

We purchased our tickets online and showed up at the PIER 30 minutes before our sailing time but the sailing was canceled. Over the next three hours we were moved back and forth into three different lines. Each staff person who came along told us to line up at a different place. The actual cruise (90 minute cruise around Alcatraz... More

We waited around at the area and had to line in the sun, at a quite warm day, in order to be able to enter the Cruise. Not so funny as the waiting took forever and everybody wants to make sure they get a good place at the boat. Regular tickets cost US$28, but again, this was included in our... More
