We took the boat tour around the Bay. Went under the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz. Seating on a first come basis and the line for each ride forms 30 minutes early. We made the effort and were near the front for boarding. Go up top and sit near the front on the right hand side. This will maximize... More

B&G is an hour departing from a dock next to Pier 39. The crowded boat circles Alcatraz Island and makes a U-turn under Golden Gate Bridge. Purchasing tickets and knowing what to do to get on the boat seems to be organized by Keystone Kops. I had to stand in line for 20 minutes to get a ticket, only to... More

We did the boat cruise as part of our City Pass activities. The cruise goes under the Golden Gate Bridge and past Alcatraz. We enjoyed getting up close to these sights. Our only complaints were as follows: 1) The audio track of the tour was very informative, but we couldn't hear it over the boat noise for most of the... More

The trip to Sausalito was good. However for the return trip to SF, the company's management of the boarding process was appalling. They give priority to bikes & only allow other passers to board after all bike riders have embarked irrespective of arrival time. This results in a totally unfair wait by non- bike riders. In the afternoon you can... More

We took the bay area cruise as part of our San Francisco city pass. It was a great way to see the city, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. Awesome views from the water. This was rhe next best way to see Alcatraz as the tours were sold out. Cool perspective of the bridge from underneath. You can really see... More

We biked from SFO (mostly uphill!) to Sausalito. We took the ferry back. It was a perfect weather day and a Friday, so maybe that accounts for the massive crowds trying to fight for a spot on the ferry all with tangled up bikes and general chaos. No one from the ferry staff seemed to have control over the lines... More

Very crowded and had to stand in line for 1/2 hour before boarding. It was just so so and the narration was nothing exciting.

This was a great short tour of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and the other locations along the bay. The audio tour was very informative about these locations and many others. The hour long cruise was quick and efficient. Had great views! We even got to see seals swimming around in the bay. Make sure you sit outside to get... More

This was perfect to get a great look at the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. It wasn't too long or too short and we were lucky enough to see a whale. Unexpected. Nice crew and I would do it again, with a bigger jacket.

Great cruise well worth the money , went out place the Golden Gate and up close to Alcatraz. The captain gave good announcements about what to look for and saw a few dolphins close by the ship. Been out here many times with the family. We will be back.
