Bike the Bridge! At Blazing Saddles Bike Rental and Tours we want our guests to come away from a day on our bikes feeling as if they have just experienced the very best that our city has to offer. Whether it is a local resident enjoying our state of the art equipment or a visitor seeing the city for the first time, we encourage our riders to enjoy the bike friendly environment of San Francisco. Blazing Saddles was one of the first in the industry to develop a proprietary map of suggested routes and points of interest, and we have been a major pioneer in promoting cycling through the Presidio National Park, over the Golden Gate Bridge and into Sausalito and Tiburon. All of our seven locations in San Francisco have easy access to a car-free bike path that winds around the city by the bay. We have the largest fleet of bikes in San Francisco, including state of the art electric bikes, tandems and kids' bikes. We also have high performance road and mountain bikes for those who want to explore Golden Gate National Recreation Area and Mt. Tamalpais State Park. We rent bikes 365 days a year and are open at 8am every day. For those that want something more, we offer a daily tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide. No reservations necessary.

Experience was great, only problems we had were that people told us the hills weren't bad. There was only only one lane on the bridge open so we had to be alert. Then, we rode down a hill that was 200 feet up with a 45 degree angle. It was great but, that was the negatives.

This is a great way to see The Golden Gate Bridge. The hire is quite cheap and easy to do and the staff are very helpful. The ride itself is not too strenuous, but beware there are a couple of steep hills and the bridge can get very crowded. Unfortunately the hire place was very busy and ran out of... More

Biking the Golden Gate Bridge is one of my all-time favorite accomplishments. The tour is extensive and worth every penny. We toured out-of-the way places plus some more familiar sites. There was lots and lots of time for rest stops and photo ops. Ultimately, biking the bridge was a thrill and very safe as they have designated bike lanes for... More

We had pre paid a guided bike tour and sent an email the day before to confirm- I am still waiting for that confirmation reply. We were greeted a that front door with quite a passive aggressive person that seemed to upset a lot of guest on arrival. We were suited up and soon off after watching a video on... More

Hired two tandems and cycled across the bridge. The guy who explained everything to us before we left was very friendly and helpful. Great fun and cycled over the bridge to Sausalito. Lovely fishing village with plenty of places to eat and drink. Ferry back - fantastic day!

While the equipment was good and the rise was a memorable one for us, they were very impatient in their rush to get us out the door! We have family from Germany who don't speak English and they would not give us time to translate and were very pushy. I guess that numbers is how they make money but honestly... More

One of our favorite things to do while in SF...easy getting bikes at wharf, you are instructed in pathway to bridge, and given a chance to test ride bike first to make sure all ok.... Take off at your speed and go where cars can't always go..... Highly recommend stopping at Ft Point before crossing bridge for amazing views and... More

We rented bikes from the Blazing Saddles booth near Pier 39, and the staff was very helpful in answering all of our questions regarding the bikes, the ride options, terrain, etc. We rented three bikes (2 adult and one child for our 9-year-old) plus a tagalong attachment on one of the adult bikes for our 7-year-old. Our son loved riding... More

Nice people, organised, great views! The only thing is it's very expensive, like $170 for a bike ride, expensive. It was still brilliant fun and Sausalito is exquisite

Family of 4 rented bikes yesterday. Fitting of bikes and instructions way to fast. One of our bikes had broken gear indicator and could not shift gears. Discovered this at base of bridge. Should have called for help but continued on. Waited over 1 1/2 hours for ferry to go back to San Francisco in spite of numbered boarding passes.... More

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. We're glad you enjoyed the ride but are truly sorry you experienced a mechanical problem with your bike. We require that all customers test-ride their bike before leaving our store to ensure it is properly fitted and in good working order. If a problem should occur once you have left... More
