At Blazing Saddles Bike Rentals and Tours we want our guests to come away from a day on our bikes feeling as if they have just experienced the very best that our city has to offer. Whether it is a local resident enjoying our state of the art equipment or a visitor seeing the city for the first time, we encourage our riders to enjoy the bike friendly environment of San Francisco. Blazing Saddles was one of the first in the industry to develop a proprietary map of suggested routes and points of interest, and we have been a major pioneer in promoting cycling through the Presidio National Park, over the Golden Gate Bridge and into Sausalito and Tiburon. All of our seven locations in San Francisco have easy access to a car-free bike path that winds around the city by the bay. We have the largest fleet of bikes in San Francisco, including state of the art electric bikes, tandems and kids’ bikes. We also have high performance road and mountain bikes for those who want to explore Golden Gate National Recreation Area and Mt. Tamalpais State Park. We rent bikes 365 days a year and we open at 8am every day. For those that want something more we offer a daily tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide. No reservations necessary, so come on down when you’re ready to Bike the Bridge! « less

In August my husband and myself went on honeymoon to California. On Wednesday the 6th I hired an electric bicycle from Blazing Saddles. I was asked to provide a credit card for security. I have no problem with this as it happens for hotels or when you rent a car. When we returned the bicycle later I payed for the... More

I recently had the misfortune to use Blazing Saddles. The service was rushed and poor...we signed a contract to which we weren't handed a copy of. The lady in charge told us that they have many locations across the city that you can drop the bikes off at. She neglected to inform us that it is a $10 charge per... More

Rented two bikes for a ride over the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito from Blazing Saddles for 3 hours. We got back to the rental location at exactly 3 hours. BUT, the return line took 10 minutes and when we got to the front of the line, the desk employee charged us an extra half-hour. This was wrong since we... More

Asked for the cheapest bike, so were not suprised when the gears were terrible and the chain broke by the bridge. But when we came back they said we have had the more expensive model and charged us for that. Scam. Got a "sorry"

We hired bikes just to ride over the bridge, thinking it would only take a couple of hours. Four hours later we returned the bikes. Some very steep hills to get to the bridge and then a lot of people on the bridge. There were a few serious bike riders going extremely fast and together with the walkers, picture takers,... More

Blazing Saddles ROCKS! Special kudos to JEFF and ELENA and their amazing fun and friendly staff. You get a great condition bike, an introductory quick video lesson of where you're going to be going and what you are going to be seeing - and off you go! They provide roadside help if you need it! 5 STARS. BEST OF THE... More

This was an easy, friendly place to get a bike. I picked up bike at Pier 41 with Susan. This is an Irish Family business and they appreciate their customers! Call them at 415 202 8888 to reserve. I did not have reservations, but was able to get a bike for the trip. I went to Sausalito and back in... More

Our family went to San Francisco and road bikes across the Golden Gate Bridge - hard work and well worth it. Blazing Saddles made sure we were on good bikes adjusted for our size and skill level, went over everything THOROUGHLY - very polite. When we got back (almost) we went to the wrong location and my chain popped off... More

I did the 8 mile ride from Fishermans Warf across the Golden Gate Bridge and took the ferry back with my son. The whole experience from start to finish was excellent. The staff in the shop from sales to making sure everything was ok with your bike was faultless. Would absolutely recommend this, it's the best way to experience the... More

Definitely pre-book this on line before you travel, not because you need to, but to get a 20% discount on the price. When you arrive at the office it's very noisy with staff, customers and the instructional video in full swing, but they are very organised. Don't make the mistake of thinking you are going to race across the bridge... More
