At Blazing Saddles Bike Rentals and Tours we want our guests to come away from a day on our bikes feeling as if they have just experienced the very best that our city has to offer. Whether it is a local resident enjoying our state of the art equipment or a visitor seeing the city for the first time, we encourage our riders to enjoy the bike friendly environment of San Francisco. Blazing Saddles was one of the first in the industry to develop a proprietary map of suggested routes and points of interest, and we have been a major pioneer in promoting cycling through the Presidio National Park, over the Golden Gate Bridge and into Sausalito and Tiburon. All of our seven locations in San Francisco have easy access to a car-free bike path that winds around the city by the bay. We have the largest fleet of bikes in San Francisco, including state of the art electric bikes, tandems and kids’ bikes. We also have high performance road and mountain bikes for those who want to explore Golden Gate National Recreation Area and Mt. Tamalpais State Park. We rent bikes 365 days a year and we open at 8am every day. For those that want something more we offer a daily tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide. No reservations necessary, so come on down when you’re ready to Bike the Bridge! « less

This review pertains to the Blazing Saddle office at 433 Mason St. Not only is San Francisco a great city to see by bike, but it's probably one of the most cycling friendly cities in North America. And Blazing Saddles makes it all the easier. Staff is friendly and helpful and the rental process is quick and efficient. The only... More

Hired two bikes and helmets and set off in blazing heat. Wonderful way to see San Francisco. Distance longer than expected especially once over the bridge to Sausalito. Enjoyed visiting this little town, bike parking in centre of town.

My husband and I took the bike tour over the Golden Gate Bridge into Sausalito. I t was really a good time. The tour begins in the Wharf area. It was a guided tour that was paced just right. We were given a little history of San Francisco, were able to take pictures whenever we wanted to and we could... More

During my stay in San Franciso I rented a bike at Blazing Saddles. From the beginning on I didn´t feel comfortable with the bike. Of course, it´s a rental bike and can´t keep up with my personal bike at home but I expected it to take me without any trouble on a 3 hours ride. Unfortunately the chain spanner broke... More

Our hotel recommended Blazing Saddles. The place we rented from was on Mason Street. They outfitted us, gave us helmets, maps and ferry passes. If we didn't want to use the passes, we just turned them back in--otherwise they were $11/piece. The nice part about already having them is we didn't have to wait in line to get them on... More

Our party of 3 comprised of 2 skilled bike riders and me who hasn't been on a bike in 25 years. The staff greeted us as we walked in. They explained the various routes and how the electric bike compared to a regular one. They explained the deposit required (the electric bike was maybe $1200 there and about). After watching... More

I found these folks from their sidewalk sign. I own a hybrid road bike and like to ride around Dallas. So I thought this would be fun. I was right. Their staff were super knowledgeable and helpful. They have nice bikes and provided me with maps and directions. I did the waterfront trail to Golden Gate Bridge and back to... More

I'm so glad I did this! I needed a break from a conference and decided to explore the city. This was by far the best way. I chose Blazing Saddles because it was right by my hotel, and they were recommended by several people. I rented from the Mason St location in downtown SF. I walked over from my hotel... More

If you like bike riding, and do so often or occasionally then join this tour, or go solo if you like. The group tour is pretty sedate and the group tends to get strung out a long way so there are are quite a few stops to keep the group together. The Guide will give you a little local knowledge... They have this all planned out. My friend and I wanted to rent bikes to go over the Golden Gate Bridge. There are several bike rental places to chose from, but Blazing Saddles seemed to be the most organized. The company gives you a bike lock, tickets for the ferry from Sausilito back to SF, a helmet, a map and... More
