At Blazing Saddles Bike Rentals and Tours we want our guests to come away from a day on our bikes feeling as if they have just experienced the very best that our city has to offer. Whether it is a local resident enjoying our state of the art equipment or a visitor seeing the city for the first time, we encourage our riders to enjoy the bike friendly environment of San Francisco. Blazing Saddles was one of the first in the industry to develop a proprietary map of suggested routes and points of interest, and we have been a major pioneer in promoting cycling through the Presidio National Park, over the Golden Gate Bridge and into Sausalito and Tiburon. All of our seven locations in San Francisco have easy access to a car-free bike path that winds around the city by the bay. We have the largest fleet of bikes in San Francisco, including state of the art electric bikes, tandems and kids’ bikes. We also have high performance road and mountain bikes for those who want to explore Golden Gate National Recreation Area and Mt. Tamalpais State Park. We rent bikes 365 days a year and we open at 8am every day. For those that want something more we offer a daily tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide. No reservations necessary, so come on down when you’re ready to Bike the Bridge! « less

This place is HORRENDOUS. Staff is HORRIBLY PUSHY. We told them we wanted to bike to Golden Gate Park (which they advertise as a route on their maps and pamphlets) and they completely ignored us multiple times and explained to us the directions to Sausalito. I don't doubt that Sausalito is a nice place, but we DIDN'T WANT TO GO... More

we hired our bikes at 433 Mason Street. Tommy & Brendon were great, gave us lots of great information and tips on routes etc, very friendly and approachable. One of the best tours/excursions I have ever done when on vacation. Thanks More

So we were ignored upon arrival, with other couples being seen before us. The woman seemed rude from the start, bossy and not very friendly. The guys fitting us for the bikes were a good laugh and the tour itself, with Christopher, was amazing. Chris was really funny and kept a good pace for all. The other guy helping was... More

Staff: Kate and Kenna Tour guide: Chris When you consider that you're getting your own mode of transportation, a map and a fantastic set of suggested routes, the fee of $65 with a tourguide is fair. The staff was full of energy and our tourguide was charismatic and knowledgeable of San Francisco and Sausalito where we spent our afternoon. It... More

This is a terrific activity--of course. But Blazing Saddles has a stable of old, heavy, shopworn bikes. If you haven't ridden a bike in ten years (the apparent age of Blazing Saddle Bikes), you may not notice. If you are a modern cyclist with a good bike at home, you'll wonder where Blazing Saddles was able to cone up with... More

We hired bikes to cycle across the Golden Gate Bridge. Really good fun. You have to leave a deposit for each bike which is held on a credit/debit card. The cost to hire two bikes, insurance cover and tickets for the ferry crossing came to $96 in total. Not cheap but definitely worth it. More

I should start by saying, if I was rating the ride and our tour guide Chris, the rating would be much higher, as we had a glorious sunny day, casual and relaxed pace, with plenty of information along the way about the surrounding sites. The ride across the Golden Gate bridge was great, and Sausilito is a lovely 'village' with... More

We had a perfect day for renting a bike and taking one of their recommended routes. The staff was very friendly and efficient albeit they seemed to rush new customers through in groups which left little room for individual questions. As another writer mentioned, their maps could use a little work...we had to stop several times to get our bearings... More

After a month of watching San Francisco deals on Groupon, I finally spotted one I wanted to use during my trip to San Francisco...Blazing Saddles. $28 for bike rentals for two available at two of their many locations. A great deal! Taxi to the Fisherman's wharf location was about $10 from Union Square. Upon arrival we were promptly given suggestion... More
