Well this is certainly one of the best clubs I've been to. Located in nob hill all the places to go is nearby. Cable car is also there. And yes, the staffs were very cooperative.

One of the great private clubs of the world. Rooms are very spacious- king beds and sitting area- and very comfortable. Quiet, discrete and elegant, but obviously part of it's charm is that it is very old-fashioned, in the nicest possible way. Car park in the very centre of Nob Hill is extraordinary and incredibly convenient. Food is of course... More

This is a simply stunning building. Tall marble columns, fine timbers and polished brass. Moulded ceilings that wouldn't look out of place in Chatsworth House. The friendliest and most helpful staff, with nothing too much trouble. For all the old-world style, it also has excellent wifi!

This club is really beautiful and the service is perfect. It's calm and you don't heard the sound of the street from your room

As a woman, I admit, I was a little put off that I could go not go everywhere in this gentlemen's club with my husband, but it is a gentlemen's club. The building is absolutely lovely and full of old world charm. It was built in1898 and survived the 1906 earthquake. The staff is beyond belief! One must be a... More

Fantastic location on Nob Hill. Cable car outside, anything you could want to do in easy reach. And privacy. And impeccable service. And silence at breakfast. Just the way staying away from home should be. Gymnasium and pool terrific. You need to be a member, or member's guest.

This is the quintessential gentlemen's club. We stayed there as the guest of a member. The building is the house of one of the "big four" San Francisco barons and it is the only one that survived the 1906 quake more or less intact. It is at the top of Nob Hill between Grace Cathedral and the Fairmont. The interior... More

This is, or was, now that ladies are admitted, the finest gentlemen's club this side of London's St James's. The swimming pool, steam room and gym equipment are second to none; the bedrooms spacious and airy and tastefully furnished. The card room quiet and well stocked. The library is well-maintained and well-used by members. The staff are efficient and their... More

Staying in Nob Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Nob Hill
Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the city and is home to amazing architecture and views. The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that followed. Luckily all is not lost; storied hotels and Grace Cathedral surround Huntington Park. Having a drink or dinner while taking in the sunset and views at the "top of the Mark" is tough to beat.
