GET OFF THE TOUR BUS & URBAN TREK WITH US! Urban Trek USA's - small group (maximum of 7 people)- urban trek is an EXPERIENCE better than being aboard a tour bus or shuttle. An urban trek is a sightseeing & walking tour experience where you will use the city's public transportation system and walk around and learn about the different neighborhoods, see great views around the city, and have lunch or a coffee break at the best places in the neighborhood. You will feel almost like a local San Franciscan after your urban trek. Check the customized (private) urban trek for a party of four or more.

We did the tour with Anton on our first day in San Francisco. Not only did he show us places we wouldn't have found by ourselves, but he also gave us tips for the following days. He really knows the city and it's history and gave us a fantastic start to our visit. I can definitely recommend him. Thanks, Anton!

Anton gave us a first overview about San Francisco and we learned very much about the City and saw placed that we wouldn't have found by ourselves (e.g. Telegraph Hill). As we did the tour as a first point on our Agenda we participated from it our whole stay. Anton ist very gentle and very educated about this city and... More

Our tour with Anton was excellent! We were scheduled for Urban Trek 1, but since it was only the four of us, Anton modified the tour just for us! He was well prepared and enthusiastic. He provided wonderful history of the city and took us to see some really awesome views. Our son (15 yrs) says "it was super cool,... More

My girlfriend and I came to San Francisco for a little vacation with the family and this tour has been part of that. An absolutely wonderful experience - Anton is extremely knowledgeable about so many parts of the city and you will learn things that you normally wouldn't find in tourist guides. We visited some of the most interesting parts... More

My daughter and I enjoyed this tremendously and I agree with other reviews about everything! So nice to get such a specialized tour with great information ahead of time so we knew what to expect! Anton delivered in every way and even gave more info after the fact when we asked for directions and restaurant recommendations!

We did an all day tour with Anton Friday and a half-day tour Saturday. We were his only sign ups for Friday and he gave us the most wonderful walking tour ever! We looked forward to the next day and he matched it again! Anton took us to places we would not have found on our own, and he is... More

Anton - the previous reviews didn't lie! What an amazing job and wealth of information Anton is able to share. Not only did we see the in-depth view of the city I was hoping for, but we were able to see so much more than I ever expected. Etched in my memory forever is Xanadu Gallery, Prada, and Maiden Lane.... More

We had a fun time touring around San Francisco with Anton. He is very knowledgeable about the city and its history. He also knows the perfect spots for pictures. Even after our time with him, he still helped us find our way around the city when we asked him over the phone. I really recommend getting him as your tour... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighborhood decorated with colorful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighborhood.
