GET OFF THE TOUR BUS & URBAN TREK WITH US! Urban Trek USA's - small group (maximum of 7 people)- urban trek is an EXPERIENCE better than being aboard a tour bus or shuttle. An urban trek is a sightseeing & walking tour experience where you will use the city's public transportation system and walk around and learn about the different neighborhoods, see great views around the city, and have lunch or a coffee break at the best places in the neighborhood. You will feel almost like a local San Franciscan after your urban trek. Check the customized (private) urban trek for a party of four or more.

Anton was the best tour guide! He by far exceeded my expectations of the tour. He was so knowledgable of anything & everything San Francisco! The tour was very reasonably priced. We were able to see so much more than if we had not taken to tour. I 100% recommend Anton to be your tour guide when you're visiting San... More

I was beyond impressed with Urban Trek USA. Anton exceeded any expectations I had for the tour as his passion for the city really set him apart positively from any other tour guide I've worked with. I can't express how great he was for our "Urban Trek 4" tour and how knowledgable he is about San Francisco. We had never... More

Anton's enthusiasm and passion for San Francisco are obvious. The tour was informative and very enjoyable. We learned about neighborhoods/culture, restaurants, buses/trains, and more. It was a long day, but Anton knew how to break up the walking with public transportation, lunch and a snack. We appreciated that he limited the tour group to a very manageable size; we could... Where to start...a fantastic tour with a brilliant guide! Anton clearly loves his city and makes your entire trip easier, from explaining the different transport options to the best cafes and restaurants. Not only did he guide us on our first day in San Fran, he also helped us plan our routes for the rest of our trip. A genuine... More

My husband and I like taking a walking tour at the beginning of a trip to any new (to us) city so as to understand a bit of the history, culture and heart of the city. Anton was a fantastic guide who taught us so many amazing things about this wonderful city. He had answers for all our obscure questions... More

A walking tour of this city is the only way to truly see and experience the history of this great city. Anton is a wonderful guide. He clearly loves what he does and it shows. We did Urban Trek 4 which was a half day tour. Anton is very knowledgeable and passes along lots of great information. The pace was... More

I took tour #4 with my finicky 18 year old daughter and she really enjoyed it and I did as well. Anton is a really interesting guy and a San Francisco history buff. He brings a deep knowledge of the city to his tours. We hit a few of the tourist traps, but we really went deep into various neighborhoods... More

I had an amazing tour with Anton as he brought me to places in San Francisco that I could never have found myself. From the historically significant to just plain cool, the places Anton selected in the city enhanced my visit tremendously. My only regret is not doing the tour on my first day there as it would allow me... More

This was my second trek with Anton (in 7months!). I can't imagine going to SF and NOT trekking! Anton is a wonderful guide and gives you a truly locals viewpoint. His famous green binder holds many historical photos and great informative tidbits. He has the most pleasant personality and is super accommodating. He will help you plan your stay in... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
As the oldest in North America, San Francisco's Chinatown is an exotic experience. A unique neighborhood decorated with colorful shops, historic streetlights, hanging lanterns, and pagoda roofs awaits behind the stone-carved dragon gates. Feast on dim sum at the tea houses, or meet the locals who gather at historic Portsmouth Square to play chess or practice Tai Chi. Fish markets, produce stands, tourist shops, jewelry stores, fortune tellers, temples and restaurants come together to create a world unto itself in this historic neighborhood.
