Saw most of the sights on a big red bus tour. It's the best way to travel round San Francisco due to the volume of traffic. Worth seeing though

I visited many years ago while on the back of a motorcycle. It was fun to say I was there and cross the bridge. There is a nearby park to stop and take some photographs with the bridge behind you, but that's about it. If you are into architectural photography you will enjoy it, otherwise, it's just a bridge :)... More

Bay is simple beautiful. Bay, I recommend boat ride. There is so much history here. History on the bridge, bay, Alcatraz, Movies, & San Francisco itself. Great learning experience. Also, great way to see nature at its best.

Not the best view of the bridge. Go under the motorway and up to the top of the hill for the best views.

The Golden Gate has been a top of mind for many years for its iconic presence in films and tv shows. This is a great spot to get to see it from every angle.

Everyone associates San Francisco with he Golden Gate bridge, so cycling over it was one of the must do activities of our holiday. We had to wait a few days for the weather to clear, but it was well worth it. Cycling it isn't too bad - there's a couple of hills to get over from SF to actually get... More

This is such an iconic location and somewhere well worth visiting on foot or by car. There is plenty to do and see on your way towards the golden gate bridge and then back again. One of the times we visited we went on an open top bus tour which although very windy was the best way to see the... More

A very informative cruise that highlights the history of the coast, the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Marin, and Berkley. Multi-lingual per-recorded tour synced with the ships route through the bay was perfectly timed.

So beautiful and so many things to do. A photographers dream! Weather is always a little iffy in January, but we managed to get lucky. Great atmosphere, wonderful restaurants. It's one of our favorite destinations.
