We've been all over to see art museums from LA to Paris. This place the employees were rude, the art was just sad, and the visit was a huge disappointment. Go to the De Young Museum in Golden Gate Park. You'll be much happier. more

SFMOMA has a collection similar to MOMA in Manhattan. The museums admission is comparable to MOMA's. SFMOMA is about 1/3 the size in terms of square footage. Worth a few hours of your time in SF if you love art. The Yerba Buena Gardens across the street are lovely. Around the corner there's a tapas bar and microbrewery named the Thirsty Bear.
