These gardens are right beside the north and south units of the Moscone Convention Center, and I stumbled upon them the third day of a five-day conference. I wish I had found the place earlier, since it is a peaceful spot to take a break from business. The waterfall, with Martin Luther King, Jr. quotations inscribed on panels beneath it,... More

Had a wander around here with my dad. There are some great water features, the tribute to Martin Luther King Jr is especially lovely. Great to sit near and listen to the sound of the waterfall. Plenty of grass and benches to sit. If you want an inner city picnic, this may be the ideal place.

See the very impressive Martin Luther King Memorial waterfall and enjoy the pleasant floral gardens.

This is a park and not a garden, since no real garden area. Good only if you are in the downtown area and looking for a place to chill. But don't make a special trip to go there because it is not worth it.

Yerba Buena Gardens is a fun place to go with its giant slide area and carousel. The carousel is an iconic piece of San Francisco history. From 1912 to 1972 the carousel was at the Playland at the Beach, which in those days used to be a popular amusement park by the Pacific Ocean, There is an ice skating rink... More

A cute little oasis in the middle of a busy city. Great place for sitting, people watching, sun bathing, and just generally seeing what San Francisco-ans do on their daily life.

Not far from the hustle and bustle of the city are the Yerba Buena Gardens which cover two city blocks. This was a huge urban redevelopment which opened one block in 1994. The gardens are a great place to wander around or to spend some time to relax before returning to exploring wonderful San Francisco. We loved the wonderful outdoor... More

Yerba Buena Gardens is like a small park in the middle of downtown. It's a peaceful and beautiful place. Visiting it on a sunny day is a good opportunity for those who are into photography. Besides, it looks like the best place to get away from a stressful routine. It's a must visit.

We came here on the recommendation of the manager of a restaurant we were at the day before. We spent the last afternoon of our trip hanging out here and reading in the park. You forget your in the city! It was a very nice park, well kept. Only thing that kept it from 5 stars was some homeless people... More

We found the gardens accidentally, because we got the wrong street to come back to the hotel. Beautiful gardens and fountain in the middle of the city, it is not a big area. There is a mall beside the gardens and some cafes. A nice place to enjoy the end of the day if you are in downtown SF. The... More
