So many delicious things, so many delicious smells. Very busy, very crowded. Definetely one of the places you simply can't miss in San Francisco. Even if you're no shopping for food do yourself a favour and visit it. Also plenty of little shops inside the Ferry Building and adding to all that plenty of food vans outside.

While visiting the Ferry Building Marketplace we found the make-shift farmer's market which seems to be set-up outside the Ferry Building each Saturday. This was a decent farmer's market, making a good but quick browse before entering the main business to see the Marketplace. We enjoyed seeing the fresh vegetables, fruit (lovely grapes), nice flowers and other California grown produce... More

I just happened to be down at the Embarcadero on a Saturday morning and found the Farmer's Market. All I can say is - "packed!" I was on the search for coffee... but all the lines were so long... I had to go away from the area. It was great if you were shopping for produce and food... and fantastic... More

This was the second time this year that we visited the Farmer's Market and we really enjoyed it. The selection of fruits, vegetables, cheese, baked goods and food was fabulous. Be sure and check out the many gourmet food shops inside the Ferry Building as well. You won't be disappointed.

Loved the fresh produce. The grapes we bought were the best we'd ever had. The rest of what we bought was wonderful as well. We like how the food was on one side and the crafts were on the other side of the Embarcadero. My kids bought these really cute fish flutes. Can't wait to go back next time we're... More

we love going down tot he market on saturday and seeing everything. If you are looking for fresh fruit and vegetables you will get it much cheaper in China Town so it is worth the walk. If you are looking for fresh meat like crab and stuff then that market is a great place. There have some good vendors for... More

We arrived on a Saturday morning - really worth the visit. Fresh fruits and vegetables as well as stands that sell many different types of fare. Bought and ate some delicious varieties of peaches and nectarines I've never heard of before. A lot to see here.

On a Tuesday Embarcadero Market Day, I met a friend and we perused the stalls. This is a fun pastime, with all the things available to find and eat: Blue Bottle Coffee, California fresh pressed EVOO, Cheese, Empanadas, Chocolate, Wine, Lunch, Produce, Kitchen Equipment, Gelato, anything your hearts may desire, almost, is there. "The Slanted Door" is one of my... More

We planned a 3 day trip to the city with Saturday morning at the Farmers Market at the Ferry Building. What a great way to start the day. Great local produce, cheese, bread. If you are a photographer, no end to the array of photo ops here. Citrus, flowers, carrots of all colors, a rainbow of chard. Also lots of... More
