This is our favorite spot on a Saturday morning and we try to include it in every SF visit. Walking through the market and sampling fresh produce, local artisanal products, it is just amazing! Even if you aren't shopping for food and don't live locally, this is a wonderful morning treat.

A fantastic place to spend a morning. There are a number if stalls...selling everything from art to fresh produce to slow food served fast! You can pick up food if you are in a self-catering apartment or just grab a great breakfast and coffee. Gets busy and the crowds can be a little daunting but well worth it.

Inside Pier 1 is a collection of shops with touristy stuff, nice collectibles and general necessities (the necessities-style shops are hard to find in San Fran). The Farmer's Market outside had a wonderful selection of delicious fruits, vegetables, and nuts at a slightly high price, but reasonable for fresh stuff.

The concierge at our hotel recommended that we stop by the Farmer's Market Saturday morning which surprised us since I didn't need any food to cook while on vacation. But there was so much more to see there and sample, it was worth the stroll through the huge array of vendors! Crafts, unusual food stuffs, organic and vegan items abounded!... More

I visited here because Adam Richmond of "Man vs. Food" fame recommended the Farmer's Market in his book America the Edible. The way he described the set up from Cow Girl Creamery, to Acme Bread Company, to the coffee shop was perfect. I even paid $3.50 for a cupcake and thought it was money well spent. So while I didn't... More

When coming back from Sausalito, the ferry stops in front of this beautiful bilding in which you will gonna taste samples of different high quality products just brought by farmers. Attempt to try the oils especially te rosemary one and a delicious chicolatecaramel-almondcandy sold in one of the market's corner.

An abundance of locally sourced, fresh, organic products - lots of things I'd never tried before. Sellers are friendly and informative and we got to sample everything and ended up buying LOADS! Reasonably priced too!
