Damn good market area, lots to see, sample, buy

We loved this 'farmers' market, though it seemed about 20% grown things and the rest products and 'made' things. Nonetheless, it was really good. The quantity of merchants/booths was great. We were able to experience a lot of local items and flavors which is exactly what we were seeking. SF is a typically eclectic town at times, and we got... More

We spent a few hours at the farmers market in fisherman's wharf area. It was quite interesting, with lots of different vendors selling produce, meats, cheeses, seafood, and almost everything in between. We actually had wine and a cheese flight at a little wine bar in the market, and it was a nice relaxing afternoon. We picked up some produce... More

Loved wondering around here on Saturday morning. Get here early when it is slightly less crowded. The food available is wonderful! Local fresh and delicious.

The Farmer's Market here on the Embarcadero has about everything to offer that you want and need...whether it's organically grown avocados or lean beef strips or wheat berries or smoked fish...you should be able to find it there!!!

We randomly stumbled across this but it was a brilliant stop. Loads items to buy, either to take home or food for the moment. Outside had a meat rolls stall which did amazing pork! Go and enjoy and you will be going home with something nice for dinner.

The veggies looked amazing, there was a police presence their but we ended up seeing a younger guy get bamboozled....not sure if it was a pick pocket or what but it happened so fast, not a lot anyone could do...then had an older guy smoking weed right next to us...it was interesting to say the least.

This is my second time at the farmers market on a Saturday and it was only better. Make sure you have plenty of cash because a lot of the vendors do not take credit cards. The produce is fabulous as well as local olive oil's, cheeses, smoked salmon, and nuts. On Saturdays it opens at 8 AM and I highly... More

Like the view of SFO COIT tower, the trolley ride and restaurants in the area. We walked to the COIT, China town, Russian Hill, saw the crooked road from this hill and the surrounding areas.

Good open market. Plenty of organic vegetables and fruits are available at reasonable prices. Experience decent food from the food trucks.View of the bay is relaxing.
