The Marin Headlands are a wonderful place to visit with the most spectacular views of the bay and the beautiful GG bridge!

Worth the trip over the bridge! It was a little difficult to find exactly where I needed to go, but once I found it....perfect! I came here just before sunset so I could watch it go down. Beautiful!!!!

Well worth a drive and a hike to see the beautiful Pacific. Great view of the city and GG bridge as well.

Hop on over to the Tennessee Valley and head out to the ocean. Absolutely beautiful views, great day hiking, and trail running. You can hike out to Muir Beach, Mt Tam, or the GG Bridge if you'd like!

What do you want more? From walking on hills with ocean views and climbing around old batteries, the Marin Headlands are an outdoor enthusiast's dream. On top of it, when clear it's the best view onto the Golden Gate Bridge and the city.

I would highly recommend making the trip out to the Headlands. Spectacular views of the Golden Gate Bridge. We went by car so I'm not sure how to get there by public transport.

I mean it's a good national park and the most visited one in the country but it is more towards recreational activities rather than scenic views. Even though it's beautiful out there. Do visit the light house and the mammal center.

This was the best place to view the Golden Gate. Beware, you need to pay the toll for the golden gate before crossing. If you don't there is no place to pay when you return to San Francisco. I stopped at the booths but they were unmanned on the way back and I saw no way to pay. I probably... More

This is a great place to get a view of San Francisco. However when the weather is bad then forget it, it is a waste of time. We went when it was foggy and it was hard to get a view. Next time I go I would want to go when I know for sure no foggy conditions.

Spent 3 hours on Cataract Trail. Hiked to the picnic area up what seemed to be a continuous waterfall. Had a local with us that took us up a meadow that I can only compare to the top of one of the rolling hills in Napa Valley. Beautiful setting, beautiful views.
