Public tours of the Anchor Brewery are available each weekday, free of charge, by reservation only. The walking tour of the brewery lasts about 40-45 minutes. Your tour guide will give you a brief history of Anchor Brewing and walk you through three floors of our facility. Children are welcome to come on the tour, but of course may not taste the beer during our tasting session that follows the walking tour. You may have up to ten in your party, depending on the availability of space. Altogether, the tour and the tasting last for about 2 hours, and tastings are only available to those who take the tour.

Excellent tour around the actual working brewery (no show rooms here). As an added bonus it starts and finishes with beer to drink. Worth noting it's a bit out the way of the main city, so plan your route if your not driving.

We were the first Sunday tour and the tour was great. Lots of samples, the equivalent to 3 bottles of beer. Interesting history and worth the price. You need to make reservations online. With looking into if you like beer and history.

Six of us booked a tour at the Anchor Brewing Co. The tour begins with a sample of the basic Anchor brew. Then you are shown through the facility and the brewing process is explained. The visit concludes with a tasting of 5 or 6 current releases. Although I am not a beer enthusiast, I really enjoyed this.

A great brewery tour. The ambiance is unique ... big copper kettles, beautiful bar in the tasting room. Excellent presentation of their products and methods which are unlike those of any other American brewery. You do have to reserve in advance, and a month before there was no space on the tours we were in town during, however with perseverance... More

My husband and I and 6 friends did the brewery tour on our most recent trip to San Francisco. Our tour guide Braden was fantastic! We learned so many interesting things about Anchor Brewing Company and beer making in general. I would highly recommend this tour to any beer lover / history buff. The tour started with a "welcome beer"... More

Booked this online before travelling and was very easy to do. You go to the actual brewery and get shown round, our tour guide Dela was great. You see how the beer is made and told every aspect about it. Then you go to the tasting room and we had 6 tastes of different beers and you got a decent... More

As a member of the Campaign for Real Ale for nearly 40 years, I've visited more traditional breweries than I care to remember. But our visit Anchor Brewing will sit right up there as one of the best. The company has been in existence for over 100 years and can rightly claim to be the original craft brewer. The visit... More

Any craft brewer will show you the brew and fermentation tanks. What's special about Anchor Brewing Co's tour is you get the full history of the business that dates back more than a 100 years. I value tradition. You see all aspects of the process. The boiling of the wart. The various fermentation stages. The bottling and canning. And the... More

Get a reservation for $15 and take the tour. It comes with multiple tastings at the conclusion. Nice tour covering the history and beer making process. Tasting is generous. Tour leader was knowledgeable and entertaining. Great for any beer enthusiast.

A nice tour of a local well known brewery. Fun tour, learn a lot about the brewing process and some history behind the company and industry in the US. You need an advanced reservation so don't just show up expecting to get in. You will get to taste their whole line or part as your heart desires.
