Public tours of the Anchor Brewery are available each weekday, free of charge, by reservation only. The walking tour of the brewery lasts about 40-45 minutes. Your tour guide will give you a brief history of Anchor Brewing and walk you through three floors of our facility. Children are welcome to come on the tour, but of course may not taste the beer during our tasting session that follows the walking tour. You may have up to ten in your party, depending on the availability of space. Altogether, the tour and the tasting last for about 2 hours, and tastings are only available to those who take the tour.

When we found out that we would be travelling to San Francisco, I immediately researched Anchor to see if they offered tours as we had tried their beer locally. I booked a tour with them several months in advance, which I would recommend so that you get a spot. The tour was free and included samples of their beers. It... More

The brew tour is a must for all beer lovers. We went to the 10am Monday tour and it had around 20 people. Book early! The tour and tasting lasted around 90 mins. We saw all parts of the process and our tour guide explained everything very well. Beware the gift shop after half a dozen beers- gifts never looked... More

The tour starts in the brewery with a cheeky glass of the classic Steam Beer and an introduction. What follows is a 30-45 minute walk around the brewery in a group of around 20. The tour is everything you would expect from a decent brewery tour - a bit of history, a description of the brewing process, a chance to... More

I booked this brewery tour for my friends and I on our trip to San Francisco and we had a lot of fun! The tour starts with a generous sample of their signature steam beer, before heading out onto the production floor. Stephen, our tour guide, was funny and informative. After the approx. 45 minute tour of the facilities, we... More

Make a reservation, we waited one hour to be seated. Had the flank steak, cooked to perfection. My daughter had the wood fire pizza, very tasty. If you are not familiar with Alaska beer, try the beer sampler. You get 5 2 ounce beers for 7 dollars. Nice atmosphere.

This historical brewery has a great tour. We loved learning more about how they made the beer, the history of the brewery and of course the tasting. We are from Wisconsin and Beer is kind of a thing by us.... So this was a great way to learn about a different company and yes the beer is awesome.

For a real San Francisco experience visitors should check out the plant where this signature San Francisco beer is concocted. The brewery is located 1705 Mariposa Street on Potrero Hill. A tour, which can be arranged on line costs $15.00 but includes a beer tasting which I know from experience is well worth the price of admission. Here’s some background... More

Any brewery tour that begins and ends with beer tasting is my kind of place. The tour includes just enough information about the history of Anchor Brewing Company and the different beers produced. Multiple tastings of various beers included at the end of the tour. Great excursion.

Our tour guide made the visit informative and fun! Of course the beer sampling was a great end to a Friday afternoon tour!
