Had a great couple of private guided days with Mark. My objectives were to learn multi-pitch techniques and to try out some trad routes. On our first day we went up a great 5-pitch climb in Red Rock which was stunning. The second saw me lead my first ever trad climb. We finished up with some multi-pitch sport which was... More

Half day climbing - Jon, our guide, did a great job handling a wide range of skill levels in my group, picking perfect routes with incredible views. He even got some great action shots of us climbing!

My husband surprised me with a half day climbing lesson as part of a weekend getaway in Bar Harbor. I wasn't sure what to expect as I had never climbed before, not even on a rock wall. Dick was our guide and he did a great job all around - from making us feel VERY safe to reading us and... More

First time outdoor climbing. Had Summer as a guide and she was fantastic. Husband and I have done a bit of indoor climbing so she took us on some fun routes that challenged us. Would definitely recommend this. So much fun and knowledgeable instructors.

Summer was my guide on my half day climbing lesson. She took me to Otter Cliffs. This was my first time climbing outside, and only my 3rd time climbing ever. I was scared but she was patient and talked me through each step. It was a fantastic morning and the highlight of my weekend in Acadia.

My 20 yr old slightly autistic daughter and I went with Dick as our guide. Outstanding teacher. Showed us the ropes so to speak :-). Great day climbing. We were both rookies. Felt safe the whole time while getting to challenge ourselves. Not for those with fear of heights. But if you are in decent shape and have a sense... More

The scenery was just awesome - Otter Cliffs are gorgeous. Nice sunny day. Our guide Summer was just right - would give you pointers or help if you asked, but was also content to let you figure some stuff out on your own. Ended with an ascent up the Chimney - sandwiched between two walls of rock, you had to... More

Had a great time climbing with Dick our guide. He made us feel secure and made sure we had a great time. I would recommend doing this when you are in Acadia. We had a blast!

I'd come over to Bar Harbor from Spain and knew that I wanted to climb, but didn't have any gear with me and was hesitant about which would be the best place to go. I booked a 1/2 day class with the Acadia Mountain Guides School and had a fantastic time - Otter Cliffs was beautiful and the guide, Summer... More
