We had the best time climbing with Mark from Acadia Mountain Guides. The routes were perfect for our abilities. The rock is very grippy with fabulous views. Mark patiently explained everything he was doing to set up the belay station at the top of the cliffs. He was also very helpful in giving me tips (also called beta in the... More

This outing was my second with AMG. Both guides have been first rate, well trained. They took me climbing on routes that were perfectly matched to my level, taught me all they could in the time we had, and are very friendly. I hoping to return soon.

I could not have asked for a better climbing experience. I am a novice climber who is 59 yrs. old. I have been climbing at my local rock gym for a few months so kind of expected a similar top rope experience. Dick was my guide and provided a climbing experience that changed my whole view of what is possible... More

It was fun experience. Guide was really friendly and set routes efficiently. He gave little information regarding outdoor climbing but when we asked can we accompany him setting routes he said next one and did not invited us for next one. We expected we will learn some details about how to set outdoor routes but we did not. Hands down... More

Mark led our family (me, my 9-year old son and husband) on a half-day trip. This was our first time on a real outdoor climb although we each had a little experience in a rock gym. When I voiced after our first climb up that I thought it was easier than I was expecting, Mark found other paths in the... More

Jon is a fantastic guide for families. We were very lucky to have him as a guide both mornings. He is a generally pleasant person, tolerant with kids (and adults!), and particularly encouraging for kids like ours (ages 5 and 9) that have not climbed before. He's extremely knowledgeable and experienced, and is able to mix it up and keep... More

We had a fantastic experience with our guide Abi. Our three kids (14, 11, 8) truly enjoyed the three climbs that he setup for us. We finished the day by rappelling over the cliff above the ocean and then climbing back up. It was an experience the kids are still talking about.

My children and I had a great time. The experience was near the top of my 7 year old son's list and at the very top of mine on this trip. We tested my 13 year old daughter's limits and I do not believe that anyone could have been more supportive of her than Alex. I always thought about climbing... More

My son had an outstanding half day session (should have done full day!) with our guide, Stephen A. of the school when we were vacationing in Acadia in late Aug. It was an instructive and entertaining experience for my 10 year old. Most importantly, while I'm no expert, I felt safety and proper climbing protocols were always observed, which is... More

We had a great experience with our guide Steven. He tailored the climb to every member of our family- from us parents who had climbed in the past to our timid 10 year old and our overly adventurous 8 year old. The location in the beach was beautiful as well! Thanks! My kids are already asking to climb again!
