My girlfriend and I came up for the weekend with nothing planned except some hiking on our own and a climbing trip with this climbing school. I called a few days before about a half day of climbing and was presented with an option in morning (9ish I think), afternoon (1ish), or at sunset (5:30). Sunset climbing was the obvious... More

This was a last minute addition to my 3 weeks in Bar Harbor and the absolute highlight! My climbing instructor Mark was fantastic - I have no climbing experience and he made a full day of instruction easy and fun. Everything was at my pace - whether it was moving on the the next climb or taking a quick break... More

I wrote a whole long review, that somehow got lost! Basically; hire these guys. They're awesome and you'll have a load of fun. Whether you're an experienced climber or just looking for something new, you won't regret it. Safe, friendly, responsive and professional.

we went rock climbing as a fluke. who knew it would turn out to be the highlight of our visit to bar harbor. though we have been to Acadia several times, this was the first time we thought of climbing. Avi and Ryan were our instructors that day. they started out by equipping us with appropriate and well fitting gear... More

In January 2015 I took a 4 day winter mountaineering course with guide Dick Chasse to help prepare me for an upcoming climb in South America. After telling AMG what my goals were they suggested Mt. Washington in NH as a suitable mountain to hone my skills in a similar environment to what I would encounter down South. The customized... More

Towards the end of the season my boyfriend and I spent the weekend at Acadia. I did my research and found the Acadia Mountain Guides Climbing School. I called them up and said I wanted to climb the otter cliffs in Acadia National Park. They were very courteous, prompt, and informative. Our guide Dick met us as the shop and... More

Our group tackled Katahdin in February with Dick and Pat, and it was spectacular. It was educational, exhilarating, and FUN! Can't wait to go again!

In June 2014, Dick Chasse guided our group ranging from age 8 to 48, and the location was challenging (yet achievable) for all of us first timers. He was great with the kids and adults. If you have never tried mountain climbing, consider Acadia Mountain Guides.

Sceneries like no other. Go there. Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. Kids enjoyed the upper bubble and some of the scenic views we stopped at. A lot of fun.

Let's start with I have never climbed before. I was nervous and a little scared...but, excited. Our guide was wonderful. He explained everything verbally and visually for me. He varied his instructions between me and my boyfriend (who has climbed before). Though I was a little nervous the whole time, being scared was quickly replaced with having fun. We repelled... More
