Our family of four (two girls 12 and 15) went out for rock climbing with Acadia Mountain Guides during our stay at Bar Harbor. It was a very fun experience, we all had a great time. Our guide Mark Warner is a rock climbing enthusiast. He's a very friendly and funny guy and likes to share his climbing adventure stories.... More

We took two classes at Acadia Mountain Guides over the summer and had a blast! Both classes were with Mark Warner, who is extremely knowledgeable about climbing and super friendly. The first class was a half-day of learning how to build anchors. Mark went out with us to Otter Cliffs where he showed us how to build bomber anchor systems,... More

Our guide Avi was amazing. He was so patient and such a great instructor. We climbed right over the ocean with amazing views. We had four climbers from 9 to 40 and he set up climbs that challenged all of us. Definitely worth the money.

Stephen was our guide. Although my husband and I have hiked previously, I am now nearly eighty years old and suffer from a condition that makes my feet and lower legs both numb and painful. This obviously interferes with balance on a mountain hike. My husband, in his 70s, is challenged by a recent hamstring injury and therefore could not... More

Thank you for your review. We take a lot of pride in being able to find the right terrain for each of your clients whether they be hiking or climbing. We really enjoy working with and encourage older visitors to Acadia National Park to hit the trails and climb the rocks. We have several clients who are in their 70s... More

Avi was a great guide, and was wonderful with our three kids. Aged 9-15. I would highly recommend him. We felt very safe the entire time. Everything was very professional.

We did a half day climb. Basically we were all newbies but our guide Michael was amazing at explaining things to us and staying calm and supportive throughout. We went to otter cliffs and the climb up was more challenging than I thought, but we all made it:-). Great family experience, especially for us Floridian flatlanders:-) awesome views, too, by... This was by far the best activity my family and I have ever experienced. It exceeded our expectations. Our guides name was Summer and she was nice, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. She kept us safe, pushed us to climb higher and made our half day adventure awesome. Be prepared for a short hike and really using your legs. This climbing... More

I climb regularly at a gym, but have never gone climbing outdoors. I signed up for a 4 hour trip, and my guide, Mark, took me out to a great, classic climbing area in the park. He picked out routes that were a perfect choice of challenge and skill building, while being easy-going, professional and a great guide. I had... More

This was my first rock climbing experience, as it was for the rest of our party of six too. We all had a positive and personally challenging experience. The guides talked us through anything that felt a little challenging, and we got to experience belaying and climbing. The belaying was a very empowering feeling. To support your friend who is... We signed up for a family climb our two kids, aged 5 and 8. We had no experience and weren't sure what to expect. It was such a thrill...much more exciting, challenging, and fun than we anticipated. Our guide, Henry was amazing! If it weren't for his confidence, encouragement, and obvious skill, we would have chickened out right at the... More
