In June 2014, Dick Chasse guided our group ranging from age 8 to 48, and the location was challenging (yet achievable) for all of us first timers. He was great with the kids and adults. If you have never tried mountain climbing, consider Acadia Mountain Guides.

Sceneries like no other. Go there. Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. Kids enjoyed the upper bubble and some of the scenic views we stopped at. A lot of fun.

Let's start with I have never climbed before. I was nervous and a little scared...but, excited. Our guide was wonderful. He explained everything verbally and visually for me. He varied his instructions between me and my boyfriend (who has climbed before). Though I was a little nervous the whole time, being scared was quickly replaced with having fun. We repelled... More

I'm always crazy about adventures and this was one of those memorable ones. Our guide took us climbing along the coastal. Even though it was cloudy, the views were spectacular! They were very accommodating to our needs and I love that they do private guides so we could get the most of our climbs. For our half day introductory rock... More

This was such an amazing experience for my daughter! She was a little hesitant about overnight camp but she had a blast and learned so many new things! The staff were all very knowledgeable in climbing and did a great job teaching young children the beginning skills for the sport. Such an excellent camp for boosting a childs confidence in... More

My daughter, who is 14, and I had a great experience climbing Otter Point in the evening. We felt safe and secure and appropriately challenging. One climb was particularly memorable as it felt we we lowered ourselves to near sea level and climbed up with the sea below us. A great experience for both us. Special thanks to our guide,... More

I had never been climbing before and my guide Dick Chasse was great. I came out at the end of the day feeling like I learned a ton for the amount of time that I spent (half day). I am going back for sure!

A friend of mine tried rock climbing for the first time during an event that they were sponsoring for the Night Sky Festival. A group of 10 went to Otter Cliff at night to rock climb and it was absolutely amazing! Our guides, Mark and Nick (or Dick) were truly wonderful. Not only are they incredibly helpful and make you... We had the best time climbing with Mark from Acadia Mountain Guides. The routes were perfect for our abilities. The rock is very grippy with fabulous views. Mark patiently explained everything he was doing to set up the belay station at the top of the cliffs. He was also very helpful in giving me tips (also called beta in the... More
