Evening walk

Very relaxing, calm evening walk along the coastline. Nice for after dinner walk to wind down. The kids could climb on the rocks as we strolled.

This historic path has delighted visitors and locals since 1880. I walked the well maintained path twice during our recently concluded vacation, each time turning right on Wayman Lane and returning via Main Street. The path, beginning at Town Pier, runs in front of the Bar Harbor Inn while hugging the rocky shoreline as it continues in a southeasterly direction... More

Check for the Museum on the Street Map around Bar Harbor so you will identify the historical places along the path. The little rocks sculptures were cairns. Very interesting way to mark the path for hikers En summary is a experience that every person should have in the Bar Harbor downtown.

A beautiful walk along the water! The rocks are beautiful at low tide and some of the homes are amazing! Worth the walk!

Beautiful, level walk along the shoreline. You can see a lighthouse in the distance. Bring binoculars.

We enjoyed this walk on our first day in Bar Harbor. It's easy and scenic with nice views of the water as well as the lovely hotel and nice homes along the way. Great asset for Bar Harbor!

while in bar harbor you must take this short, easy and scenic walk. it starts in the center of town and you pass lovely hotels and some beautiful mansions. the views of frenchmen's bay are wonderful. when the tide it out you can also scurry on the rocks which is great fun.

Good for a morning walk or after-dinner stroll. Kids can climb on rocks or look for sea glass at low tide. Easy access from town. Highly recommended.

Boyfriend and I took this path a late afternoon before dinner. Very easy (flat) trail right on the shore. It was low tide, so families and couples were walking/playing on the rocks. We went when it was foggy and still found beauty. We started at harbor and walked away from it on path. We enjoyed the town walk back to... More
