This was our first kayaking adventure and it couldn't have gone better. We chose the morning trip. Llew was our guide. He did a nice job with the instructions before we loaded into the van. He is a wealth of knowledge of the wildlife as well as the area. Llew had some great suggestions for other adventures as well as... More

Booked an afternoon kayak Tour and liked it very much. The guide was very informative and had a good sence of humor explaining Some Major things to the group. We went by small bus to the left Side of Acadia park where it was quiet and beautiful. Weather was amazing and the sun was shining so it helped of course.... More

Since I'm an experience kayaker, I carefully chose which Bar Harbor kayak company I would use, and with National Park Sea Kayak Tours, I was not disappointed. First, the owner honored my request to be in a solo kayak. The trip was extremely well-planned. We saw plenty of wildlife, and were paddling downwind the entire time. The guide was first-rate.... Being out on the water was one of the highlights of our whole trip. On the excursion, we saw a ton of wildlife including: seals, porpoises, eagles, and ospreys. It was also very peaceful to be out on the quiet side of the island, away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. The only not-so-great part of our experience... More

My daughter and I had an excellent adventure with Ntl Park SEa Kayak Tours! Lou was our guide and did a great job making sure each person felt welcomed and would address each persons interest area. We saw bald eagles calling to each other, seals, porpoises, landed at a beach where there was sea glass! We had wanted to go... More

The first week of September we went on a morning trip on the western side of Mt. Desert, and Mark was our guide. We had an excellent experience. Mark was very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. We saw bald eagles, ospreys, cormorants, seals, and dolphins. We had never been in a tandem kayak before, but everything went smoothly. We... We are not experienced kayakers, have been on white water once and a couple of times in a calm lake. First time sea kayaking and no worries. Any experience level will be comfortable, the half day seems catered toward seeing what the group expects or desires and the tour goes from there. Lou is very experienced and knowledgeable. Perhaps someone... More

These guys were just terrific. Our guide, Lou, was patient, helpful and empathic. He is so interesting; knows all about the region and wildlife; very informed. And so funny. He had us in stitches, when it was appropriate. He was very aware of our safety at all times and was very caring. It was a terrific experience. I wonder if... More

Terrific tour of a different, much less touristy part of Acadia and Mount Desert Island. Great for beginners - quiet side of the island means less dramatic cliffs and waves, but terrific views of the mountains and wildlife. Guide Fletcher was a font of information about the island, geology and wildlife.
