I have been visiting MDI for many years and finally took a trip on the Lulu Lobster boat last summer. I was unprepared for such an information-packed and fascinating adventure. Unlike the other touristy boat rides out there that are geared for the masses, Captain John respects the intelligence of his passengers and does a wonderful job of teaching us... more

This was alot of fun and I highly recommend it. We learned so much about Lobsters!!! And we saw seals and a bald eagle as well. So much fun! more

My 24 year old daughter and I took this trip while we vacationed in Bar Harbor It was very educational, relaxing and a lot of fun. We got to see Seals, a bald eagle and of course our Captain pulled up his lobster traps and we got to see lobsters fresh out of the ocean. I would recommend this trip... more

Just got back from our cruise. One of our stops was Bar Harbor where we went on this trip. All 6 in our family agreed it was a great experience. Very informative and interesting. more

Here are the things that we would note about this trip: 1. We got there late, but they were willing to accomodate us for another time. 2. There was a family with a child about 14-18 months old who throw a fit from the time he got on the boat. The captain handled the situation as well as he could... more

The most disappointing part of this cruise is that you motor out of the harbor for about five minutes and then the boat sits for over an hour while the capitan talks and talks about lobsters. It was okay for the first 20 minutes, but you get antsy and want to see other sights. The lecture is directed towards any... more

Great adventure for the whole family. My 6 yr old son loved it as did my husband and I. We got to see seals and learn all about lobstering in a real lobster boat. The captain was very good at involving the kids, with lots of hands on learning. Would recommend this to everyone. more

There's a reason Lulu is rated #1. Very entertaining and educational trip for people of all ages. Captain John is a wonderful story teller and excellent teacher. You'll learn everything you ever wanted to know about lobsters and lighthouses, enjoy a nice couple of hours out on the water and, if you're lucky, you'll even see some seals. He even... more

I took my 13yr old daughter and 8yr old son on this. We all had a fabulous time. The weather was beautiful! It was great to be out on the water learning all about lobsters and lobster fishing, and seeing a lighthouse and seals. The capt and his asst were very friendly. more

Lived up to expectations. Very informative. Much more informative than the Oceanarium talk. The Captain is very informative and entertaining. Was good with kids. more
