I took a large group of scouts to Maine for a canoe/hiking trip, which we ended with a stay in Acadia. I began planning almost a year in advance, including contacting this company to organize a whale watching trip for our large group. The staff were very helpful, providing information, advice, and working closely to make sure we had the... More

I know some people thing going on a whale boat isn't fun, but it's a must for us every year. We absolutely love going on this boat and feel like our vacation would be incomplete without it. I've never left the boat unhappy. Always see whales too!

We booked a "Historic Lighthouses & Acadia NP by Sea" shore excursion on HAL in late October. The ocean was quite rough that day and the Captain gave everyone fair warning so they could opt out of this trip if they thought they would be bothered by the weather. Most of us did not leave, but some did end up... More

I was a bit sceptical about going whale watching, but everyone else in my group was keen to go and I decided to join them. As a group we headed for the bow and my advice to anyone planning trip is to do the same. You head out to sea for miles. Now, I'm aware that not everyone gets to... More

The tour was overbooked and I had to sit on top of the boat. Had a 30 MPH cold wind in my face for 3 hours. Also salt water every time the boat would bounce up and down and side to side. I was sea sick along with everyone else on the top level. It was the worst excursion on... More

Our family of four really enjoyed the Puffins and Lighthouses cruise in June 2015. It was brisk and a bit choppy (bring a jacket for sure) once out of the harbor, but not too bad. We had a great naturalist who knew alot of the history of the area and was able to show us terns, puffins, seals, eagles and... More

We took the Whale Watch tour on a beautiful day in September --- it was our 2nd trip so we knew it would get very cold as we went further out into the Ocean -so we were prepared! We saw the Sperm Whales which is a rare occurrence according to our guide (who was very excited to see them as... More

I thoroughly enjoyed whale watching with this company. The naturalist was very knowledgeable and it made the tour excellent. We did not see any whales but the company has a policy where you can return within 3 years and go with the company again if you keep your ticket.

You go on these things and are told about all the whales that are out there but no guarantee in seeing one and normally you don't see them. The woman sat next to me said it was the third trip to see Whales, not here but other places and she had never seen one. Not a good omen. 3 hours... More

We took the Great Duck Island Loop Tour. The catamaran has plenty of room, the naturalist / narrator was spectacular, very knowledgeable. Seas were rough the day I went, so try and pick a day with calm oceans. The North Atlantic is tough to predict, so easier said then done. A great way to see the sea cliffs, bays and... More
