My husband and I got two small cones, one was a waffle cone, it was $8. My flavor had cookie dough, Reese's cups, and waffle cone pieces in it and was great. What stood out was the cookie dough pieces were big and soft unlike the normal pellet ones most places.

Giving them an average for their ice cream. They have flavors that are ordinarily found in other ice cream parlors, nothing unusual. It was pricey for just average ice cream. A bit touristy , outdoor seating and not too clean. My daughter loves their ice cream the other family members like another local establishment. I'd say give it a try and... More

We stopped here for an ice cream cone, much less crowded than some of the shops in the heart of the downtown area... Experience was unmemorable, and I really didn't like the ice cream. I ordered chocolate moose tracks which basically consisted of Reese's pb cups and a minimal amount of ice cream. It was incredibly messy and really, if... More

Skip this place and go to Mt. Desert Ice Cream. This was our first stop and the ice cream itself was tasty but the candy "bits" they put in the ice cream are so huge that it's like eating a candy bar with some ice cream around it. My girlfriend got a flavor with cookie dough and there was a... More

No that is not my opinion. They have a flavor here called I'm Not Sure Yet which is absolutely to die for! It has HUGE cookie dough swirls, massive peanut butter cup pieces, fudge swirls and chocolate chips. And if you aren't sure you'd like that they have a wonderful selection of ice cream and gelato. The reason for only... More

I love ice cream. I eat it almost everywhere I go. By far, my favorite ice cream I have ever had is black raspberry disaster at C.J.'s in Bar Harbor. I could eat it every day. It is inconvenient that they do not take credit cards, but to me, any inconvenience is worth being able to get the black raspberry.

We ordered ice cream here our first night in Bar Harbor. We stayed a full week and ate ice cream at a couple of different ice cream shops. CJ's ice cream was far inferior to the other ice cream shops in town. I don't know how they managed to screw up ice cream, but they did. I thought because the... More

I walked in with my 3 teenagers who wanted to buy ice cream and all they had was Canadian cash. I didn't think it was that big of a deal, since the border is 2 hours away. The young guy working behind the counter very rudely informed us that, 'we don't take that money, don't you know you are in... More

Upon entering the shop, I was screamed at that they only accepted cash. I was holding my debit card in my hand and within seconds, one of the employees yelled, "We don't accept debit cards, only cash, atm over there if you want ice cream". At this point we should have headed over to Mount Desert Island Ice Cream. I... More
