Perfect spot to relax and catch a few rays or sit in the shade. And in the summer, bring a picnic for one of the bandstand concerts. Such fun!

I have been visiting the Green for almost 60 years. Came too late this year to hear the band. Very pretty, clean and relaxing. But people need to pick up their butts!

This is a classic, New England Green. At times, there are bands in the bandstands. Other days, there are just children and dogs playing in this large and shady park surrounded by great shops and restaurants.p

This is the second time we've been to Bar Harbor and we remember the village green as looking like a movie set. On some evenings a band played, children were running and playing while their parents watched patiently. Very idyllic setting.

The Village Green is a lovely park that is used frequently by many people. I especially like the park as well as Bar Harbor in general for being a dog friendly place. The music in the gazebo at the park adds to its charm. The Village Green is a nice place to relax and have lunch or just relax with... More

All free Island Explorer buses stop here. Village Green is clean and big enough to spread out. Restrooms across the street and there is an Acadia national Park information office. Pick up the Acadia Weekly. Maps do Bar Harbor and Acadia.

What a neat area in downtown Bar Harbor. From here, you can visit the Park Ranger's office and schedule a visit to Acadia National Forest. The buses leave from the Village Green, take you to the park and return...every 20 minutes. Did I mention that the buses were free of charge?

My friends and I enjoyed taking a moment to sit still in the park while walking around the various shops and eating at a great pub nearby (Dog and Pony). We found this a great area to hang around along with the cool stores (some of them not as "touristy") and some great galleries and art as well. We found... More

Wonderful central spot to explore Bar Harbor. We rode the free shuttle from the Blackwoods Campground every day to eat in the local restaurants, sail, etc. Pretty spot also just to sit and relax a while (and people watch) and eat a snack. Lots of shops, snacks, food and drink places surrounding square and even public restrooms (very clean).
