Amazing views and wildlife!

The only way you can get close enough to view this is by boat. We recommend Lu Lus but anyway you get there it is gorgeous and full of birds and sea dogs. Well worth the trip!

Got a view of this lighthouse up close and personal from Lulu's Lobster Boat. Love the harbor seals. Interesting looking lighthouse.

Very pretty lighthouse & home as seen from the water - very traditional look. At least three types of seals on the far end of the island.

I don't think the island or lighthouse is open to visitors but it is was a great spot for wildlife on one of the boat tours from Bar Harbor. We saw bunches of seals and even a peregrine falcon perched on top.

Took a harbor cruise that included a pass-by of Egg Rock Light. Saw some seals and eagles on the way, quite foggy that morning with visibility down to 100 yards at Egg Rock, but that did not prevent us from getting a good look at the light.

Best viewed from the sea, nothing special to see and ok as part of a trip but nothing great. Not worth any special effort

Best seen from the water by boat but the next best option is by going out to Schooner Point. Bring a long lens and hope for a clear day to get a nice photo.

Saw this light from Frenchmen's Bay on a nature cruise. Very interesting and great to see the baby harbor seals on the rocks.

Saw Egg Rock Island on the lobster and seal tour. Naturalist explained the automation history and all of the wildlife, including Eagles, seals and sea birds. Good time.
