We saw this on two different boat tours and both times the fog had rolled in, but we could still see the lighthouse. The highlight was seeing the seals laying on the rocks and bobbing in the water.

Egg Rock is visible from the road, but to really experience all it has to offer you have to get on a boat. The Islander fishing boat, lighthouse tour boats and whale tour boats all stop by Egg Rock. You can get up close and personal with the birds and Harbor Seals on the rocks.

This is my 3rd cruise with the Bar Harbor Whale watch company. Again another wonderful cruise. Professional staff and crew, knowledgeable naturalists and historians. Just wonderful. I can't say enough about the cruises or this company. If you are looking for a great way to see the lighthouses off the coast of Maine then this is the trip for you.

Our boat stopped near Egg Rock Light for awhile to watch both the harbor seals on the rocks and the birds. All nature lovers will be in seventh heaven and egg rock light is pretty cool too!

This was a visit to see the seals, American Eagle, and the lighthouse. Lots of seals. It is a little chilly there; so I'd recommend dressing warm (wish I would have brought a blanket). Recommended sight to see.

We saw the Egg Rock Light from the tour boat. It was very cool to see the building up close along with all the seals and birds. Beautiful picture opportunity. You can see this light in the distance from the Bar Harbor path.

We took a nature boat around the islands. This was my favorite place . We saw many harbor seals on these rocks. I loved it so much, I found a Cat's Meow of the Lighthouse for my collection at home. It was a very pleasurable journey.

Some of the cruise ships seem to go out near it,but you always see and hear the Egg rock light on the East side of the island. you get a great view from Champlain, Beehive and Gorham especially. An important light as it is the entrance to the bay and Bar Harbor.

We saw this from Lulu's lobster boat. Sad to see the lighthouse deteriorating like it is. There were Seals and Eagles near the light house so very picturesque.
