Very interesting piece of maritime history and a great spot to see wildlife of all kinds! Most of the Sea Tours will take you out there on one of there different trips.

We've visited this island twice on Lulu's Lobster boat cruise. Both times we were there in September. It's a really fun and informative ride and you get to see all the wildlife on the island where Egg Rock Light is. Seals, eagles, puffins...

This lighthouse, called the "Ugliest Lighthouse in Maine," is worth taking the time to view from one of the various nature cruises that swing by it. The island it sits on is off-limits to visitors (only USCG lighthouse maintenance staff and licensed wildlife researchers are permitted on the island), but many of the nature cruises pass by it and point... Was out by this lighthouse while on a lobster tour. Saw lots of seals and bald eagles! It is kind of far out, but worth it if you enjoy seeing wildlife in its natural element.

An interesting spot well described history by our Acadia Nature/Sightseeing Cruise. Harbor seals were one of the few marine life we saw.

Love going by this little place by boat. There are always tons of seals on shore and everytime we have gone by we have seen several bald eagles. Very relaxing area.

We took a fishing boat and it included a trip by the island. I think we saw about a hundred seals on the shore of the island.

Perfect trip for 5&8 year old. Lobster & Seals. Two hours on the boat was just right. Explained everything about lobsters while bringing up several traps and then slowly went around island watching seals. Great fun!

What a beautiful piece of history. Everything looks so well preserved or you can tell that the people have taken great care of the light houses. You can see many seals in the water as well as up on the rocks around the light houses. It's breath taking. The seals are ginormous! Very friendly and curious to what you are... More
