Egg island has hundreds of seals on the rocks. Boat cruise took the tiime so all saw the seals and watch them come and go from the ocean.

We took a fishing boat and it included a trip by the island. I think we saw about a hundred seals on the shore of the island.

Perfect trip for 5&8 year old. Lobster & Seals. Two hours on the boat was just right. Explained everything about lobsters while bringing up several traps and then slowly went around island watching seals. Great fun!

What a beautiful piece of history. Everything looks so well preserved or you can tell that the people have taken great care of the light houses. You can see many seals in the water as well as up on the rocks around the light houses. It's breath taking. The seals are ginormous! Very friendly and curious to what you are... More

We have passed this light many times in our boat and since the water is deep around the island, you can come quite close. However, today we took some pictures from the very top of Cadillac Mountain and it was a lovely sight. Usually, the seals are now the keepers of the light. Most of the boat tours will take... More

Up close with this abandoned lighthouse on a boat tour at low tide. Lots of seals basking in the 70+ degree weather. Interesting historical story and how families used to live on the island to keep the lighthouse fire stoked. Hard to get a good view of this island, unless you are on a tour boat.

It's nice to see lighthouses like this still working, even though the lighthouse keeper has gone away. The seals have taken up residence out there on the island and the occassional bald eagle. Be sure to see it on one of the many tour boats when you are out and about.

Lovely old lighthouse used for research of marine life. You can't get on the island so taking a boat trip or whale watching will get you close enough to see the seals sunning on the rock cliffs.
