We saw this from our Bar Harbor Whale Watching boat. It was amazing to see the seals and their calves actively swimming.

Saw the Egg Rock Light House while out on a boat tour, beautiful sight with all the seals and birds on the island with the light house. It is interesting to see the damage the ocean waters has done to the light house from the big storms that have hit the Bar Harbor.

We got to see egg rock lighthouse when we took a nature cruise and it was fun not only to learn about the lighthouse, but to see all the birds and seals that have taken over the island.

We took a boat to Egg Rock Light. We enjoyed seeing all the seals along the water. What a great sight!

We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise around French man's bay and out to Egg Island where the seals where basking on the shoreline. We had a great, naturalist on board who was knowledgeable about Acadia and the many "cottages" that were once on the island .

My husband and I took the Lulu Lobster Boat (please see my separate review of the Lulu Lobster Boat) out to Egg Rock Light. The lighthouse is pretty and sits in a small rock island. The highlight of the trip were the harbor seals and pups on and swimming around the island. Also, two bald eagles flew in and landed.... More

To say this lighthouse is on Park Loop Road is incorrect. It is located on a rocky island off the coast of Mount Desert Island. We took the 90 ft. jet powered catamaran Bay King III through Bar Harbor Whales. Price was $45 per person. We saw 5 lighthouses that day though only the top of the Baker Island light... More

It was incredibly windy the two days we were in Acadia National Park so we did not do a boat tour. This lighthouse is barely visible from shore.

We had a great boat trip out to the lighthouse. The naturist on board told us all about the sea birds and seals. He also talked about the old mansions along the shore and gave the history of the lighthouse.

Very scenic lighthouse with bald eagles when we visited there - dramatic! You'll need a boat to get there - take one of the "Friendship" boats from Bar Harbor - they're really good.
