The winery is beautiful inside. You get the feeling of being in a restored barn. The wines were delicious especially paired with one of the cheeses that are offered.

Thanks for stopping in to visit our little winery, and thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about your visit. Many people comment on how neat the barn is; it was restored in 2008 and it's origins go back to the Civil War era. Our wines surprise people, particularly the non grape wines including best selling Blueberry.... More

This is an absolute gem on MDI. The staff are super nice, the store is sweet, and all of the wines my boyfriend and I tried were delicious! We brought home 3 of our favorites!

I was visiting from Beverly Hills (CA), and bar harbor in itself is a treasure...and then I stumbled upon this. They have an excellent hand-picked selection of wines - wines I find and enjoy at more bougie cities/locations. Bar harbor is lucky to have this place, and I was pleasantly lucky to have stumbled inside.

Nice selection of local wines. Would have liked to know more about the wines themselves. We do quite a bit of wine tasting while traveling and knowing about the flavor(s) and history and background are helpful.

Many times over the years we have meant to stop here, but didn't have the chance. Today we made it happen. You can pick 6 wines for $5 from the selection of red/whites and dry/sweets. As of now all their grapes come from all over the world, but that gives the opportunity to have a good variety of wines. They... More

It looks like they have changed the name as with the above address GPS took us to Sweet Peas Farm Winery. So my review is based upon the GPS address 854 Maine 3, Bar Harbor, Mount Desert Island, ME 04609. Overall okay -- They let you taste 6 different wines for $5.00 -- That's pretty standard but the issue was... More

Sometimes it is those serendipitous events that make a vacation. We stumbled into the Bar Harbor Cellars Winery (BHCW) because we thought we saw a moose up on the hill behind it. Turned out to be a horse but the real surprise was finding this spot. For $5 you can taste up to 6 different wines made by BHCW. I... More

I participated in a wine tasting here and it was great. The staff were very knowledgeable. I very much enjoyed their fruit wines. The wine tasting was $5.00 a person, which I didn't find unreasonable. You also came out of it with your own tasting glass.

Thanks for stopping and visiting our small winery in Bar Harbor. The apple wine you mention was one of the first wines we made when the winery first opened in 2004. It's taste surprises a lot of folks, because the apple flavor is quite subtle. Many compare it to a fruity German wine. We appreciate your kind comments, and hope... More

We stopped here one afternoon after a day of short hikes driving around the island. This is not a winery in the sense that there are acres of grapes being grown, but a nice shop displaying some local foodstuffs (jellies, syrups, etc.) along with their wines. The tasting was a good value but rather lackluster. Except for their fruity dessert... More

Thank you for stopping to visit our little winery in Bar Harbor. With over a dozen different tpes of wine to choose from, we like to think there is something for everyone here. Bought a bottle of the Bar Harbor Cellars Blueberry wine at a local campground down the street from the winery. Subsequently, I visited the winery and did the quickest wine tasting, tasting 5 wines in under 3 minutes. It is a very nice tasting environment with a lady playing the piano, very nice ambiance. Wish I had more time to... More
