Decided to stop here after going to Atlantic Brewery because it was on the way into town. Tasting room is quite nice. Staff was nice. Wine was meh. Some of it was fine, but seems overpriced for what it is. I agree with the other reviewers that it was slightly disappointing that very few of the ingredients come from Maine... More

A kind of disappointing stop on The Maine wine trail, not many of their wines feature locally sourced fruit, even the cranberries come from Massachusetts, very touristy, and that's okay but it would be nice if they sourced more of their wine ingredients from Maine, just sayin

I'm glad you had the opportunity to visit our little winery in Bar Harbor. What started out in 2004 as a whimsical attempt at viticulture has evolved into a popular attraction in the Acadia area. While we haven't had a lot of success making wine from the grapes grown on the property, our winemaker has developed a keen knack for... More

So glad we went here- very knowledgable and to my liking, drier wines (except fruit and ice wines). Very cute barn!

Thank you for stopping in and visiting our little winery in Bar Harbor. What started as a whim in 2004 has become a popular attraction in the Acadia area. We try to offer a wide variety of wine, to please a broad array of tastes. The barn itself is attractive and provides the space to offer fine local chocolates, a... More

Stopped here on a rainy day and was greeted by a very congenial staff. The tastings are free which is a good thing and very smart of the owner. The same owner here also owns the Atlantic Brewery which also has free tastings. The difference between the two is that the beer is better than the wine. The fruit wines... More

I'm glad you took the time to visit our little winery in Bar Harbor. We feature a wide variety of wines, something for everyone's palette. In addition, we have a nice selection of local chocolates, as well as gourmet cheese and sausages. There's a nice selection of wine accessories as well. If you are in the area again, I hope... More

Nice stop along the way. Staff is nice and friendly. Place is welcoming and everyone aims to please. Wine is good. We ended up buying a bottle of Riesling and pairing it with lobster for dinner. Very tasty :)

Thank you for visiting our winery in Bar Harbor. Fall is a great time to visit, as the summer crowds have thinned. The Riesling you bought is by far our most popular white wine. Glad you enjoyed! More

I love trying and purchasing wines of the regions I travel. This place does produce any of the fruit for the wine. Hence.....Not much a winery. They do not produce any of the blueberries or black berries found in maine, the cranberries are from out of state and all the grapes are imported. I can make wine from imported fruit... More

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your recent visit to our little winery in Bar Harbor. I'm wondering if perhaps you may have visited our brewery as well, as the brewery started making beer in 1991. The winery has been producing wine since 2004. Also, as I'm sure you know, a very large number of wineries produce wine without growing their... More

We went to Sweet Pea Cafe for dinner one evening and were disappointed to discover the Wine Cellar closed at 5 p.m. Having time later in the week we stopped for a visit. A delightful place we were mainly interested in trying their fruit wines. The young lady waiting on us accommodated our taste preference. Being fans of fruit wines... More

Thank you for visiting our winery. I'm glad that you enjoyed your tastings. It may come as a surprise to some that our two best-selling wines are not made with grapes: Our Blueberry wine and Cranberry wine are so delicious! I hope you will stop and visit the next time your are in the area. More

We stopped by this winery after arriving in the area. We didn't realize how close to closing they were--and they didn't rush us to leave. We enjoyed their fruit wines most, and took a blueberry and a cranberry with us as well as a couple of pieces of cheese. They offer chocolates and wine accessories and gifts, and the staff... More

We usually start our get aways to Bar Harbor with a stop at Bar Harbor Cellars. Always enjoy the tastings. They have some decent cheeses also. Left with 3 bottles this time. Going to have a wine tasting at home featuring their wines.Try to Blueberry wine, really enjoyed it!

Thanks for stopping and visiting, again! Buying 3 bottles is, as you know, a smart buy because you save $3 on that third bottle, about a 20% savings. The blueberry wine is, by the way, our best selling wine. Hope to see you again next season! More

We really wanted to take home a taste of Maine, so we disregarded the past reviews and stopped in for a wine tasting. We were made to feel welcome the moment we walked in. Joel led us through tastings of wines that better fit our palettes. He followed through with wrapping our purchases for the flight home. Wonderful experience.

Thank you for stopping at our little winery in Bar Harbor. Fall can be a lovely time to visit, because the store is generally less crowded than it is in July and August. I'm happy you enjoyed your tasting, and very much appreciate the fact that you took the time to share your experience on Trip Advisor. We hope you... More
