We booked a Sunset Cruise a few days in advance. Unfortunately the evening was cloudy so we couldn't see the sunset. This is totally out of their control, however, we didn't really sail either. The sails were up and we basically went out into the bay, floated around for an hour and then came back in. The guitarist was good... More

The captain was interesting but if you want to see anything like wildlife, forget it. We rode straight out in the bay and see straight back. About froze to death because we weren't told to bring a coat. The captain orders all the young guys around as they raise the sails. I was expecting to sail fast or sail around... More

By and large the cruise was very nice. But this was sold as a "Sunset cruise" and for some reason the captain pulled back into the dock about 5 minutes before the sun actually set, and the sunset was completely blocked by the large boat next to us. Should be called "almost a sunset cruise".

What an enjoyable, different and relaxing trip. Don't miss this. The boat was beautiful. The staff could not have been friendlier. I would note we did not see any wildlife. We were told on board that to see the seals, and other animals we needed a different boat/tour. I really wanted to see a seal but no luck. Also hoped... More

I went on the sunset cruise this week. What a relaxing way to end your day. I even got to help hoist the sale! Wish I had brought some wine and cheese for the trip it would of made it more enjoyable. If it's a nice night go for this trip. It's a nice way to see how beautiful Bar... More

I went on the sunset sail for my birthday with my boyfriend. The tickets are fairly expensive, considering you are on a boat that is absolutely packed with people. The scenery is incredibly beautiful, but it was completely ruined by the "live music" on board. I was looking forward to something romantic, but it was crowded and I found the... More

A lovely 1.5 hour sail around the Bay. Fiddle and guitar plus songs provided for our listening enjoyment. Pet-friendly, too. Recommend the sunset sail. Bring your own wine/food, although water is available for a dollar.

Beautiful way to get out on the water. The crew was great and the sail was wonderful. Kids loves it. We saw some seals and the sunset wa gorgeous.

We took this tour of Frenchman's Bay as part of our Package with Bar Harbor Inn. It was a nice quiet pleasant experience. It was a beautiful day and a little breezy that morning so they only put up 3 of the 4 sails. This is a good trip to take the kids on and is not scary at all.... More

My husband and I have done the sunset cruise several times, and we always enjoy it. Helping the crew hoist the sails is a treat. Being out on the middle of Frenchman's Bay in the quiet is delightful. A local musician always comes on board to provide some acoustic music, which adds a great touch. I've gotten some of my... More
