As a person from a coastal town who has gone on a lot of cruises, I may be a bit spoiled, but this is the worst boat trip I have ever had. First, when we made our reservation, the clerk convinced us to change to a later trip because it had an "amazing musician" who serenaded the passengers, in fact... More

We booked our reservations for this outfitter without reading the TA reviews. Then I read the reviews and was concerned that it would be an unpleasant excursion. Still, we went anyway and decided to see for ourselves. We sailed on one of the 2 masted schooners (Mary Louise Todd?) because the Margaret Todd was being refurbished. There was no delay... More

I booked this off line, the boat looked cool in the picture, however, the boat I looked at was out of service so we were on a similar boat. Confusion as to where the boat launch would take place, they did call to tell us however that location had been moved. In my opinion they over booked the sunset cruise,... More

I like being on the water - kayaks, catamarans, small water craft, etc. We thought a short sail on a tall masted replica schooner would be an adventure. And, it was fun to experience how two tall sails are hoisted with crew and passenger assistance! However, the sail itself was rather dull as we went out the harbor a bit... More

Do not do this. Customer service is terrible. We were left waiting on the dock for an hour. Given that the cruise is only 1hr and 30 mins, we barely saw the sea. The organisers didn't tell us that we couldn't get onto the main boat straight away. The transfer took an hour and was so slow to be a... More

The Margaret Todd wasn't at harbor yet so we sailed on the Bailey Louise Todd. A nice sized boat for our outing around Frenchman Cove for 2 hours. I made sure to check the weather report for our week in the area and selected a day with wind from the NW for a smoother ride. It was a nice warm... More

My husband and I enjoy going on boat rides of any kind so we were excited to go on this sail to get to see a different viewpoint of Acadia and Bar Harbor. While the sail overall was very pleasant it was only because the weather was lovely and the views were beautiful. It had nothing to do with anything... More

I should begin this review by stating that I really enjoy sailing, and took this tour because I wanted to experience a "windjammer" like sailing experience, but didn't have the time for a multi-day cruise. I say this b/c many of the reviews I've read were negative due to the "boring" nature of sailing. My disappointment, however, is about the... More

We went for the sunset cruise, but had to turn around and return to the dock when a thunderstorm started. We were offered the choice of a refund or a reschedule, and found it very easy to reschedule for the next night, which turned out to be beautiful. My homeschooled daughter is very interested in old boat, so it was... More

Some people expect the wildlife to be just waiting for the ship to go by, that is not how it works. The Captain pointed out wildlife when it was available to see in the bay. People should take this cruise if they want a nice relaxing tour of the bay on a windjammer.
