Nice tour, beautiful scenery, but a bit to slow. I know, it's a sailboat! Still though, a little bland. Good for little kids or elders.

We went on the Sunday, October 12, 2014, 2:00 pm cruise with the Park Ranger. It was about 2 hours and it was just okay. We have been on better ones. You don't go far out. We did see 2 Eagles on one Island and a Harbor Seal. The schooner seems to be in need of fixing up. The seats... More

Columbus Day weekend was a surprising time to take a sunset cruise. We are from Florida and for us it was winter. However, the weather was friendly to us, there was live music played aboard, the crowd was not too packed, and we got to help heave-ho hoist the sails! All in all it was a delightful trip.

Took a Sunset Sail on 9/15, turned out to be no wind so we drifted about in the harbor for a while with captain pointing out porpoise and seal in the harbor. There was an entertainer aboard and he did a good job. As for the Margaret Todd...she needs some TLC. She needs to be scraped and repainted and a... More

Lots of sea life and saw a bald eagle. The Captain was very knowledgeable. They let me hoist a sail.

Don't listen to all the "expert" sailors complaining and moaning. The Frenchman Bay cruise was brilliant for us. The weather conditions were perfect, and the motor hardly used except for maneuvers around the pier. The sails, which I helped raise myself, were used the rest of the time, even for steering the narrow channels through the lobster lots. Anne, the... More

We took an afternoon cruise among the cruise ships and lobster buoys. We were entertained and educated by the captain and crew. Helping to hoist the sails was an added bonus for this avid sailor!

We went on this boat because it was included with a package that we got at the Bar Harbor Inn and Spa. (We were given a choice of this or an Acadia Park bus tour with our hotel package). When we found out after we took the cruise that it cost $37.50 per person, we could not believe it, we... More

It was fun to be on the schooner and see how it was run. You can help to hoist the sails if you want. You can bring your own food and drinks on board. However, the trip was short, just a sail out in a circle where we watched the sunset and bak to the dock. We thought it was... More

We took a Sunday morning cruise. It was a beautiful and relaxing trip. The crew was friendly and engaging. Would definitely recommend it.
