Avoid this company, we get there 5 mins before boarding time, but they don't let us to boarding and not giving refund, how nice is this company. they offer another trip for us, but i told them we have to get back to NY in the same day, but they just don't care.

We enjoyed this serene and pleasant sail aboard Margaret Todd even though it was foggy and a bit cool (for August). The addition of an on-board troubadour with guitar and fiddle was a nice touch. It was supposed to be a sunset cruise, but wasn't. That wasn't the fault of the crew, of course. Be sure to bring drinks and... More

It was nice to spend the better part of an afternoon on this boat. We were comfortably seated and were impressed with the sailing experience. We thought the crew could have been a little friendlier and helpful regarding sail operation. We thought the park ranger deserved more tips than they did.

We took the sunset trip on the windjammer. We had lots of fun. We enjoyed seeing the sails go up. The crew asked people to help raise the sails. Everyone on the trip was in great spirits. We sang, we drank, we sailed!

We purchased tickets in advance and confirmed a 6:30 cruise the day before. When we arrived at 6:10 the boat was leaving. A kid on the dock said they just changed the times for the season. The staff person at the ticket booth didn't apologize or seem to care. She also wouldn't help us obtain a refund. This was very... More

I would do this all over again next time I visit. The crew was great and knew a lot about the area. The sound of the waves on the boat and the creaking of the sails was very relaxing. The beauty of the area is a sight to behold.

On our annual vacation to Bar Harbor; tried the 2 hour evening tour with Music on the Margaret Todd. I expected more but there was hardly a breeze. Not much sailing at all. Only thing that saved the evening was the beautiful Full Moon over the islands. Would try other activities for the time and money. The crew was very... More

One of the Highlights of our trip. 4 hour trip slowly boating around Frenchman Bay. Wife normally gets seasick. This was so calm, not even an issue. Saw many bald eagles, harbor porpoises. Seals, and everyone caught multiple fish to take home. They threw in a dead fish to entice the eagle to swoop down right next to boat...Amazing view!... More

Had high expectations for this cruise and was somewhat disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the schooner itself is spectacular, the staff extremely friendly and the entertainment for the 6:30 pm cruise was good but the cruise itself was very underwhelming. The hour and a half to two hour cruise doesn't really take you anywhere. It's basically a tour of Frenchman's... More

This was an easy call for us: we stayed at the Bar Harbor Inn, and the Margaret Todd is berthed directly outside the restaurant and Terrace Grille. We chose the 10:00 am sailing, which has neither the National Park Service narration of the afternoon sailing nor the on-board music of the evening one. Once the engine is shut down and... More
