It was worth the time (and money) spent. I took the cruise as the Park was closed during the government shutdown last year. It was a nice experience. Make sure you bring a jacket along.. the temperatures drop pretty low even around FALL. Fall would be the best time to visit Acadia.. Summer, the next best IMO. The guides are... More

I took my boys on the fishing trip this August. I wanted to write the review then, but was having trouble with my Tripadvsor account. Now that I sorted it out, I wanted to share that this was the second time I took my boys on their fishing excursion and the second time they enjoyed themselves immensely. You just walk... More

We took the 2 hour Nature Cruise of the Bar Harbor shoreline, Frenchman Bay, Porcupine islands, and Acadia National Park in late October. They operate out of a little shack in the parking lot of Atlantic Oceanside Hotel 119 Eden St, north of downtown Bar Harbor. You should plan to get to the shack 15-30 min ahead of scheduled departure.... More

Beautiful scenery and knowledgeable staff. We saw about six bald eagles and many water birds. There were also harbor seals and porpoises. You will get a good view of Egg Rock it's lighthouse. Bring a jacket and sit on the top deck for the best views!

The nature tour takes you along Maine coast surrounding Acadia National forest. Its a very well narrated tour through Frenchman bay offering grand views of bald eagle, their nesting places, seabirds, and seals out in the ocean. You also get to see the Egg rock light house with very clear view from the ocean. The mansions high on the rocks... More

Went out on the 2 hour tour of the area with Chuck who was extremely knowledgable and friendly throughout the trip. We were very lucky to see a couple of Bald Eagles one a juvenile bird which was great. Apologies Chuck, we didn't have our wallet with us in order to leave a tip at the end but hopefully this... I arrived in Bar Harbor for the weekend of 26-27 Oct to find that most of the activities in town were closed for the season. Lucky the Arcadian Nature Cruise boat was still going out! Thanks Captain Caitlyn and naturalist Linda for a great couple of hours out in the bay, seeing Islands, brilliant autumn foliage, eiderducks, one grey seal,... More

We took the afternoon cruise on a warm day in early August. It's amazing how much cooler it was on the water, so be prepared with a jacket or sweater. Our guide was excellent - she had many stories about the history of the area and was knowledgeable about all the wildlife we saw. We saw seals, eagles, and many... More
