My daughter and I spent 2 days exploring Acadia National Park. We spent our first day seeing the 'famous' sights such as Thunder Hole,Sand Beach, hiking the Ocean Path,Jordan Pond making great use of the Island Explorer bus. Bus drivers and park rangers are very friendly and helpful. We had a delicious lunch at the Jordan Pond house that included their famous... More

The views from the top of Acadia National Park are beautiful. There is a walk around the top of the mountain but you need to be careful where you walk because it can be slippery. There is a little store close to the view that has restrooms.

We booked this tour online prior to our Princess cruise stop at Bar Harbor, Maine. The tour is via a national park bus. Roger, our driver and guide, was entertaining and knowledgeable. A native of "Bah-Ha-Bah," he knows the park's flora and fauna exceptionally well. We drove along the scenic park loop road with two stops--one at Thunder Hole and... More

We would have much rather used the NPS free bus, but that bus ends mid October and we were there in late October. The choice was this or Oly's Trolley. I had read the reviews for both and opted for Natl Park Tours, but I wished I had gone with Oly's. Of the 2.5 hours you are only off the... More

There so much to do and see here that it would take several days to see it all. Try to get a map of the park before you go and pay ahead of time for the hiking trails. The place is huge, so if you don't have a ton of time, you don't want to re-trace your driving route to... More

We booked our tour months ago, before the NP service was told to make the shutdown as painful as they could. Well, thanks to the ANPT group of Bar Harbor we had a very good tour of the bays & sites around the park area. Guess what? It didn't matter if the park was closed anyway, because it was so... More

Unfortunately, Acadia National Park was shutdown by our government when we visited Bar Harbor. The tour company made changes to their tour but no one felt short-changed. We made reservations the day before and the fee was $50.00 for the two of us. No senior discount. We picked up our tickets at Testa's Restaurant and were given a coupon for... More

Note: Try to get a map of the park before you go to plan out your time there. The park is huge and while we spent over 6 hours touring, we didn't get to see everything. It is recommended you plan for a couple of days. I think you can get a good sense of the park in a day... More

Being our first time to the Maine coast and Bar Harbor I elected to do this tours to get a quick look around as well as get information about the park/area. Great choice. This is a 2.5-3 hr bus(school bus like) tour around a part of Acadia-you get 3 quick(15-20 min) stops to take pics and walk around(bathrooms at each... More

We arrived in port aboard Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas and didn't know what to expect from Bar Harbor. All the research I've done came up with pretty much Acadia National Park so we took this tour. Our guide was Heather and she definitely kept us not only informed on just about everything we passed but was somewhat a... More
