This trail does offer nice views of the coastline, but the trail is quite crowded and right next to the road for most of it. there are several spots you can pull over on the road and see the highlights instead of walking. We did other hikes that were much better than this. the trail is mostly level.

Pretty walk next to the water but a little nerve wracking with kids due to some steep drop offs. Still would do it again though!

Beautiful views - with ocean on one side and large hotels and multi-million dollar homes on the other side. So glad Bar Harbor left this path open for tourists like us to walk.

This is a nice easy trail that gives you a view of the water. There isn't much on Mt Desert Island that isn't beautiful.

Leisurely walking among the old cottages with wonderful water views and a nice ocean breeze. What else do you need?

i loved this walk along the shore with my kids. The photos we took are stunning. Great experience! I do recommend better signage at Otter Cliffs where we meant to stop to catch the Shuttle back. We missed it and eventually got the Shuttle further away.

It is highly worth getting out of the car or bus and taking a walk on the Ocean Path, starting at Sand Beach. The coastline is beautiful.
