good place for an early morning or after dinner walk. Not very long but does have a nice view. Path is stone and not great for running on. I'm sure it gets pretty crowded in the summer months.

This was a quick hike. We enjoyed seeing the houses that front the water from the front. The trail affords the homeowners a modicum of privacy while also allowing tourists to get close to the beautiful coast.
We will take this hike over and over. It is beautiful. It is especially enjoyable in the late fall when you are likely to enjoy the views with only a few other hearty souls. Dogs can go on Sand Beach at this time of year also

My husband and I walk this pathway trail every morning that we spend in Bar Harbor. It is especially beautiful early in the morning. The expansive views of the ocean and rocky coastline make this a must.
Wow--easy trail to walk along the shore, well maintained, not too long, beautiful scenery everywhere.
be sure to take side paths off main trail, main trail parallels the loop road and not so great but side hikes lead to gorgeous coastline, be sure to see thunder hole
We visit Acadia National Park every year and always enjoy walking along the Ocean Trail (don't confuse it with the Shore Path in the town of Bar Harbor with fences, hedges, and old "cottages"). We often take a picnic lunch to the rocky ledges just off the trail and sometimes even have a nice afternoon rest or nap listening to...
