The Hull Cove Visitors center for Acadia is wonderful. All of the rangers and staff of the center are friendly and extremely helpful. They were only too happy to answer any questions that we had and supply maps and helpful shortcuts - highly recommend

Comparing this visitors center to other National Parks it's pretty typical. Crowded, hard to get to it is not conveniently located on your way anywhere in the park, it is off by itself and the only thing there. Worth a stop to get your park pass and general info.

This area is well maintained and a great beginning to a visit to the park. This is where we purchased our park pass. The rangers here are very friendly and helpful. The Auditorium is set up to give you a fifteen minute introduction. It is well to pay attention to the handicap access road. The steps up to the Visitor... More

Went here on the last day, but it was actually worthwhile because of the large base relief map of the park and we were able to trace our hikes and bike rides which was a lot of fun! Great selection of books and other items.

Could use a little more help with answering questions on hikes, etc. The film was good but I wanted a little more history of the park.

Stopped at the visitors center and saw a great short film on the park. Also spoke with a ranger who recommended some great hiking trails and a night program at Sand Beach. We did go to the night program and enjoyed star gazing from blankets.

My hubby & I visited the Hulls Cove Visitor Ctr. @ Acadia during our anniversary vacation. The set up of the Center is convenient because you can park, then take care of park passes/information/etc., in comparison to having to wait in line in your car to go through a gate. The staff are helpful in answering questions & very knowledgable.... More

Like any other national park, the visitor center is beneficial in gathering info and brochures, to get your bearings, and to find out the times for park ranger lead events. Be sure to watch the brief film on the park and Mt Desert Island. It was Labor Day and the center was packed with people. We bought our park pass... More

If you are hiking in Acadia Park or climbing any of the mountains a visit to this large, well-equipped visitor center is a must. Staffed by Rangers who have lots of time and maps to guide your hike.
