We stopped here to get information and I am so glad we did. The rangers were so helpful and gave users of good tips for what we wanted to do. We also used their free bus service to get around as we acquainted ourselves with the park.

Great staff. Tough climb to center for some. Long wait in July. Rangers worked the line to address any issues

A visit to this National Park visitor's center is a great way to start your trip into Acadia. There is a lot of information to be had here. Maps, books, ranger led tour/talk schedules, and rangers to answer questions and give suggestions of great trails and things to see. There is a connector road to the Carriage Roads right off... More

To busy to enjoy, I would go to other station for information and to get a park pass. Steps are not stroller friendly.

It really does help to start here and find out about acadia national park trails and history. The raised map shows the park clearly.

Great map of the Park as the center piece. Nice little gift shop. Way too many people inside because of a rainy day!!!

I suggest starting here before exploring the park. The $20 car pass is good for a full week! The Rangers are very helpful, give detailed maps and suggestions re: best time of day to do certain activities! Great gift shop, I much prefer buying things from Nat'l Park gift shops than a souvenir shop.

I stopped here to buy a hiking map and to buy souvenirs. I bought a Bar Harbor magnet and chocolate covered blueberries. Everyone was nice and helpful.
