Trek to the top of Cadillac Mt. Walk to the famous blow hole. Many films have used this area for backdrops in scenes.

My family and I have been going to Acadia National Park almost every year for the past 5 years. It's a wonderful family, and dog, friendly park. It has everything you need from hiking, dining, touristy-stuff, to swimming. I know the locals complain about the crowds, but to anyone used to 'real' crowds, it's a pleasure. We couldn't go last... Stayed at Mount Desert Island in the foliage season. One of the most beautiful and relaxing places I've ever visited! thought about staying for a couple of days, found ourselves staying for a week :)

I love walk along the rocky coast before tourist season. Everything is quiet, a few coffee places and restaurants are opened but it's not the chaos of the summer. Everybody is really nice.

We have been coming to MDI for 13 years and my family just loves it. It is so relaxing. You can make it and adventure holiday, relaxing holiday or a shopping holiday. We usually try to a little of all of them. The people on this island are just wonderful, always helpful and kind.

During our stay at the Sea Breeze we did the park loop tour which had great views, drove up the mountain, and walked out by Sand Beach and the point of land overlooking the beach. We picnicked on the beach...the water was too cold to swim in.

We loved the hiking and "getting away from it all". We have met people from all over the world hiking at Acadia!
