I enjoyed exploring parts of the Park. Beautiful, natural scenery. Only complaint, even in October there are lots of other people.

We found this gem of a service whilst staying in Bar Harhor, the service runs through different parts of the island. It leaves from the Village Green and is free!!! We used the service to get to Sand Beach, for this you have to have a National Park pass, $5.00 each and you hop on and off alone the route.... More

This was indeed a special place. We have been to many National Parks but this one was different. You had mountains, lakes, and an ocean within its' boundaries. If you enjoy nature and don't mind some walking you will enjoy Mt Desert Island and even if you are not into hiking, you will enjoy the scenery, perhaps ride in a... More

Stayed on the island for 4days but could have spent longer. Acadia was stunning in October. Autumn colours and views fabulous. Took 2 days to drive around the park, day one followed loop road, day two drove up Cadillac mountain. Both fantastic. Driving easy and relaxed even though it was Columbus Day weekend. Parking not a problem as allowed to... More

I celebrated coming here for 50 years, and never tire of it. First came back in 1962 as a child of 10 with my parents to see a total solar eclipse. Over the past half century, I have come here many times to refresh, get away, recharge, or relax. A life time of enjoyment. I have seen the changes, but... More

If you took Ashville & moved it next to the Atlantic, you'd have Bar Harbor. The ocean views were spectacular.

We rode the carriage paths at Acadia for 3 days in early October 2014. The fall colors were incredible. The carriage paths are very well maintained. It's so much fun to ride like this without cars around!

We've been here twice now and plan on more. It is a natural wonder with 80 hiking trails, great ocean and lake views, and terrific restaurants. Come soon.

MDI offers such breathtaking beauty. A place to relax and enjoy nature. From the gorgeous Acadia National Park, to the town of Bar Harbor, and the other smaller towns. There is a little bit of everything for every taste. Personally it's a balm for the soul each time we visit.

You just cannot beat Acadia for views and accessibility. Where else can I drive as a physically challenged person and see this much raw beauty than in national parks. Let's work on the accessible restrooms please. I know they are not flush toilets in all cases, but let's get the height of the toilet raised at least. Thank you for... More
