Plenty to do.

We have been going to the island for about 10 years now and always find something new and interesting to do.

This is some of the most beautiful scenery in the US. I've been in all 50 states and this one of the nicest views there is. We drove the loop and it is breath taking. Would do it again in a minute.

Mount Desert Island offers the most beautiful scenic views that can be found anywhere. You will find scenic mountains, sea, seagulls, birds, and ocean life along with great little towns and wonderful people.

Most beautiful area on the east coast. Camping, hiking, biking view after view, Some excellent eating spots. A few too many tourists in the summer. Been there every year but 3 since 1966!

This island has acadia national park which is just beautiful. We loved the drive around the park loop road and the drive up Cadalac Mountain. We hiked several trails and enjoyed walking on Sand Beach.

Awesome views. Wonderful hikes. Everything in Acadia park is one great thing after another. Sitting here to watch the water is as simple as it gets.

There was nothing to dislike about this...well, maybe the lack of parking, but , hey, it was summer! The views go on & on! Wish I'd remembered the binoculars!

Acadia National Park is absolutely a must see. We were there at the very beginning of tourist season so it was not "too" crowded. Wonderful views. Go to the top of Cadillac Mountain - we were there on a night when a bag piper played for the sunset. Worth the chill.

There is something about this island that is magical. Rock climbing, hiking, paddle boarding in the lakes and on the ocean - it is a beautiful place to connect with nature and yourself. The people here are amazing. My favorite trail is Precipice - it's short but an intense vertical climb with a breathtaking view at the top.
