Leave right from dock. guide knowledgeable and organized. Good workout on 2 hour trip, you should be in relatively good physical shape to attempt.

This kayak trip was well worth the money. The sunset from the water was amazing and our guide let us take the time to chill and experience the beautiful colors. Before the sunset, we got to explore the nearby islands close by and paddled quit a distance from the harbor. Our guide was great!

My teen kids took this 2 hr trip with aquaterra-adventures. We wanted to do 2 hr. vs. 4 hr. so as not to spend 1/2 day. About 45 min was spent on setup and instructions. They had 9 people and 1 guide. My kids said they loved the trip, no pressure to buy pictures etc. Just the good trip around... More

We're still smiling about our sunset sea kayak tour last night! I went with my husband, 16yo son, and 13yo daughter in two tandem kayaks. My husband and son are the most physically fit, but the tour was completely doable for me and my daughter as well (although I'm a bit sore this morning- it was worth it!). My daughter... More

A wonderful three hour kayak tour that included kayaking basics. Devon was very knowledgable about the islands that we were kayaking around. We were able to see the bald eagle and it's nest. Impressive! Most of the group managed to see two porpoises that were swimming nearby. We paddled around one island and caught some swells for a great ride... More

Kayak tour with adults plus a 10 and 12 year old. Staff was great and helped everyone become comfortable quickly. Learning the technique was the key to having lots of fun without getting sore.

I was skeptical trying kayaking for the first time, especially on the ocean, since I'm not exactly the most athletic of people. However Devon was excellent and made sure to explain everything. He was very charismatic and knowledgeable. One thing to note is that although the trip time is say 3 hours, part of that time is spent getting equipment... More

I was really uncomfortable with the idea of hiking in Acadia during the closure, even though I know many others were hiking, cycling, etc. So we were looking for something to do in Bar Harbor for the day. Aquaterra is right at the harbor where you come in from the cruise ship tenders and they were offering two trips that... More

My husband and I did a two hr. kayak tour around the harbor with Aquaterra Adventures and it was really cool - definitely glad we did it. I've kayaked before and wasn't so into the idea, but my husband wanted to so I went along. Needless to say the views are incredible. Our amazing tour guide, Travis, definitely knew his... More
