We spent a day with Tisa recently taking a tour of the island then stopping for lunch and swimming at the Barefoot Bar. Tisa is extremely friendly and knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed both the tour and the bar. The water was clear and lovely, lunch was a delight. It was a highlight of our recent cruise from Sydney to... More

Spent seven weeks in the South Pacific on assignment and frequented Tisa's on several occasions. Laid back island vibe in a beautiful environment. Tisa is a wonderful host as is Candyman. Feels like visiting an old friend when you visit Tisa's place. Be sure to enjoy a "telephone pole" - aka Vailima Special Import - looks like a quart, and... More

What a place! From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, this place was friendly and relaxing, and I hated to leave. Tisa, Candy, and especially Jayson make sure that you enjoy your stay and get out and see what makes American Samoa so great. The fales are definitely a cut above the more traditional style found in... More

Spent x-mas day 2000 at Tisa's while on route to Tonga. We had a roast pig cooked the traditional way. We made our own plates from palm fronds and drank from coconut shells. No silverware, no plastic, and afterward threw everything in the fire. One of the best meals, the best company, the best times... Tisa and family were great!!!... More

I lived in American Samoa from October 2003 to June of 2006, minus a "trip" to Iraq. Tisa's is by far one of my favorite places to visit on the island. The atmosphere is great with drinks and the waves rolling in. There are also some beautiful things to see if you snorkle there. Tisa's is a must see if... More

The snorkeling was great! Be very careful when you get to the drop off as the rip tide is intense! Very shallow snorkeling all the way up to the huge drop off where there is a wall extremely deep! Up the street from Tisa's a couple of miles is another beach that has awesome shelling and coral all over the... More

I was there several years ago. The food was wonderful, as was the service and company of Tisa & Candyman! No menu, the meal was the catch of the day and a real treat. I'm from Montana and when viewing their guest register, was surprised to see the name of someone from my home town! I guess the world really... More

Tisa's Annual Tattoo Fest occured on October 25 and 26, 2008. Tisa's is located on the far side of the island, and is quite a drive for this little island. After you find the Bar, the scenic beach bar is beautiful. Tisa herself is a great host. The Tattoo Fest features the Best South Pacific Tattoo artisits and was great.... More
