Bellows Beach is just perfect. It's clearly popular with locals and it's just far enough out of the way that visitors won't find it unless they know to look. Clean sand and easy water make it family friendly. You can camp there too but it's only open on weekends as it forms part of Bellows Field Airforce Base.

Except for weekends/holidays, this beach can be "all yours" with the exception of a few people walking along. Clean, golden sand, beautiful water and scenic view. I did see people walking their dogs on the beach but I never encountered any "doggie do" so please if you visit, keep it that way.

Our family loves this quite beach! It is on a military facility but a couple days a week it's open to the public. Even on those days it's never crowded. The water is clear, the waves just right even on a windy day. There's also shade if you want it & restroom & shower facilities. It truly is a paradise.... More

All sand, no sea grass, no rocks = the best beach on O'ahu. When the surf is sufficient, it's a great place to boogie board. When the surf is down, it's a fine place to relax and enjoy the view -- ocean on one side and the Ko'olaus on the other. Part of the beach is open to the public... More

Bellows Beach is located on the Military base on the north shore. Bellows Beach is amazingly wonderful. White, power soft sands, moderate waves that even us old people can handle, yet large enough waves for body surfing with a boogie board. This is a gem of a find as we cruised the island beaches one sunday afternoon. We played in... More

This is a great beach and park to visit. The sand is soft and the water is green and warm. Great for the kids and adults too. Safe surf. The drive getting their is as worth the trip.

We went during a weekday so there was a military exercise going on so not really a crowd just a few couples having wedding photos taken. But even with all that commotion it was the most peaceful beach I've been to on island. Deep blue water contrasting with soft white sand. Very clean. Not a lot of rocks to hurt... More

So secluded, quiet, peaceful. Before colors, soft sand. Pretty much had this place to ourselves on a Monday morning. Visited around 10am. If we visit Oahu again, I would really consider staying here instead of at the Hale Koa. Loved this place.

I was staying near Waikiki which I did not much care for .si my trusty Mustang convertible and I explored the island's other beaches. Particularly liked this one. Very clean, really good breeze, uncrowded. Paradise!
