A tour of the pineapple plantation is interesting. If you are short of time, just browse the gift shop. Dozens of pineapple related gifts you wont find anywhere else, because they are promotional items to promote Dole pineapples. Jewelry, stuffed animals, t-sirts, of course, make this a great stop for the kids, who won't want to, leave until you buy... More

Just a roadside advertisement for Dole. No real information or useful activities. Stop if you're driving by to use the restrooms, but don't go out of your way unless you are completely bored with nothing better to do.

This was a place to stop to use the restroom. Its offerings are weak but the space given over to souvenirs and food makes it obvious that this place is only interested in one thing--the tourist's dollar or better yet many dollars. It is overpriced and overrated. I'd move on and enjoy the natural wonders of this island and skip... More

What a waste of money taking the 20 min. train trip around the plantation. We saw a few banana trees, sugar cane stalks and listened to folk singers rather than Hawaiian music. Had I known this ,I would not have even stopped.

The plantation was definitely a lot of fun. We did the train ride, which was fun and informational. There is a large koi pond where you can feed the fish, which is fun for the little kids. I would definitely recommend getting a dole whip while you are there, and the pineapple soft candies are delicious too.

We went to Dole on a dreary day. So, the train wasn't running. But we watched a demonstration that was very interesting. You can get anything either pineapple tasting or pineapple shaped there. It was interesting and we recommend it for families with small children.

We ate lunch here. The food was not good... it was poor quality. However, we loved the train ride which taught us about the pineapple plantation! The walk around the back yard was really interesting too, as you can see pineapple plants. There are tiny pineapples just starting to grow and larger ones that are almost ready to pick. Very... Yep, that's my most favorite part of visiting the Dole Plantation on Oahu. A beautiful bucolic setting on the plateau a few miles above Honolulu, you can see pineapples in their various stages of development, and taste the fresh pineapple right there. While the visitor center is mostly a tourist trap, you can get their famous pineapple ice cream there.... More
