DO NOT GO TO DOLE PLANTATION - After a long day exploring the plantation last summer my family and i returned to our car to find it broken into and thousands of stuff ( between the 5 of us) stolen. From laptops to clothing to passports we had lost it all and the dole security simply told us oh well... More

This place is really more about selling tourist trinkets than anything else. There really isn't a lot to see, so they've done the best they could... When you first walk in, you're inside a huge gift shop, which houses Dole & other vendors of Hawaiian merchandise (most of which was quite high priced). We waited a long time to ride... More

We have been to Oahu before and never visited Dole Plantation. Now that we have, no need to return. Here is the rundown. If you love pineapple, try the dole whip. You can share one serving with 2-3 people. Train ride is boring with no views. You will do better spending your money anywhere else on the island. Garden is... More

Great place! Very educational, and fun. The Pineapple Express train was a blast. We had ages ranging from 35 to 1. We all had fun.

So, stopping at the Dole Plantation was one of the few things that I couldn't make up my mind about whether to do or not on our trip. I hate crowds and gift shops so it seemed like a bad idea but on the other hand, I adore ice cream and pineapple and this stop offered to combine them for... More

I learned a lot about this tropical fruit through the Pineapple Express train ride as well as the audio tour through the garden. The garden was a little confusing as there were a few forks in the pathway. The gift shop is massive and you need to get through it before you get to the good stuff but there are... More

Dole Plantation here has the world's largest hedge maze. Fun for kids. About an hour to complete. You need to find 6 stations and get a stamp at each one to show you completed it.

As others have mentioned, this is quite the tourist stop with the various merchandise! They had samples of iced tea with pineapple sugar, and meats grilled with spices. We took the Pineapple Express train ride, past fields of pineapples and other plants and trees, and past some harvesting equipment as well. Despite the best efforts of some chattering passengers, we... More

We enjoyed the pineapple slushy. The train ride through the fields I would recommend because it gets you away from the visitors giftshop and into real Hawaiian agriculture. Parking and traffic at the entrance is a problem.
