We visited Dole plantation as a part of one day trip around Oahu. Were very dissapointed because you need to extra charge for everything.

This place is definitely a tourist trap, but the kids had fun on the train and for a short while in the maze, while the huge gift shop was fun for all. Biggest downside is location; unless you are staying on the North Shore it is a bit of a drive for the value it provides.

Our family enjoyed going through the Dole Plantation...it was a wonderful experience and enjoyed picking up a few souvenirs..especially the Christmas ornaments Hawaii style that were personalized for us...we also enjoyed the pineapple ice-cream...sorry we missed the train ride going through the Dole plantation...but was interesting to see the pineapple growing in different stages. there was a fee for going... I've been to the Dole Plantation many times and I highly recommend going if you come to Oahu. The grounds are beautiful and they have a train ride called the Pineapple Express. It's about a 20 minute train ride (all ages friendly) that takes you all over the entire Dole Plantation. While you are riding the train, there is a... More

I'm a Pineapple lover -- so thought this would be something I would really enjoy. First, I wanted to see that maze that was represented on all of the marketing materials. It was huge - and beautiful. But when I went to purchase a ticket for whatever it would be that would get me there --- I was told that... More

I have to agree with many reviews, this place is nothing more than a tourist trap, selling the same things all the tourist shops in Waikiki sell. If this destination is not part of your tour I wouldn't waste time going there specifically.

This is definitely not a "must see" but it is a nice diversion for a couple of hours. There is a lot of shopping to do here. Overpriced food and souvenirs fill the gift shops. You can also eat anything pineapple flavored here! They are famous for their pineapple soft serve ice cream, which was very good. There is a... More

we didn't took the tour or went into the maze. we just wandered around the garden and looked at some growing pineapples. it is not a must see but if you are coming along before or after visiting the north shore it is a nice little stop.

This attraction was less than I expected. Before you walk in, they have women outside at a "pick your pearl" booth. It seemed nice but ultimately they are trying to get you to buy over priced jewelry. If you do purchase they give you another pick on the house. You WILL get two pearls the second time around... Of course,... More

I have to agree with many of the other reviewers. There is nothing special about this tour. There is a 20 minute train ride through the pineapple fields where a canned, lame message gives you a very brief history of the Dole Plantation & how pineapples are grown. They also have the world's largest hedge maze which my spouse refused... More
