Make sure you find coupons in the local visitors mags to save on the train tour and other attractions. Arrive early and do the Maze first as it can get hot in there- but what fun.

This attraction is fun for the whole family and don't miss the gift shop and the pineapple ice cream. If you are traveling from Honolulu to the North Shore, this is a logical stop along the way.

We visited the Dole Plantation three years ago and I will have to say it's not too exciting. We didn't do everything there was to do there but we could quickly see it wasn't going to be too interesting. BUT, the best part was the Dole Whip Ice Cream they had in the gift shop! Absolutely delicious. We are taking... More

We took my brother in law, who never knew how pineapples grew, and he was totally fascinated. You can see that part for free, which is great. The koi pond is also free, and he was amazed to see the fish jumping on top of one another when you feed them (there is a machine where you can get pellets... More

I warn you to not stop at the pearl place out front....this is a total scam! Open a clam and you get a free pearl! I don't think so! We had 3 kids with us and each opened a clam with multiple pearls. The trick is you have to pick out a setting afterward that will cost you hundreds! Once... More

Felt like this place is a little overhyped but it's worth visiting at least once. My husband and I had fun navigating our way through the maze. The dole whip and pineapple = delicious. Pineapple Express train a little meh, but interesting for some I'm sure. We only stayed about 2 hours but probably could've spent more time here.

We stopped by to do the maze and garden, no time for the train. The maze was fun, the gardens were lovely. There are 2-for-1 coupons in many of the tourist brochures and magazines, so grab those before you go. I wouldn't make a trip just for this, but as a diversion when going to or from the North Shore,... More

My husband and I went here during our honeymoon earlier this month. It's about a 35 minute drive from downtown Honolulu and the drive there was very nice, especially when you hit the sugar cane fields and the mountains. The parking lot was completely full when we arrived (we left late and didn't arrive till after 12) so it is... More

We had planned to visit the Dole Plantation before arriving on Oahu, but once we were there many locals said, "It's really only a gift shop." We decided to visit anyway and were pleasantly surprised. Yes, there is a LARGE gift shop full of everything pineapple plus a variety of other Hawaii-themed gifts and treats. The other "attraction" we enjoyed... More
