One of those must see places that really is not so special. Tourist trap with unrealistic prices. Unique for the first visit but will not return. The pineapple ice cream is pretty good.

We paid to take the train ride, and there were NO pineapples! It is a tourist trap. After having a white pineapple, Dole pineapples are just okay. They took the land from the native Hawaiians, and the Dole family got rich. Pull over at a local food stand, and buy a white pineapple instead. Save your money, and bypass this... More

This is a real tourist trap. Not very educational, the train goes around an empty field, so we waited 45 minutes to see dirt. I did learn something on the train from the announcer, but once you step off, hold on to your wallet. It's one big sales village. Stop in for a pineapple dream (delicious!) and then head to... More

Unfortunately we arrived right after harvesting so on train ride didn't see any pineapples. It had cute shops and I learned the best way to cut a pineapple. Good to do if you want a break from pool and beach. And visit Maui Mike's for lunches. It will make the trip more memorable.

Our family had two pleasant visits earlier during our vacation, one in which we went on the train, did the maze and shopped at the store, and the second for refreshments on our way to the north shore. The third visit, however, was nightmarish. Our son, who has special needs, had a bathroom emergency on our way again to the... More

We drove here in June of 2015 from our hotel in Waikiki. This was part of a day trip to the North Shore. We spent a half a day at Dole and enjoyed it all. Very cool to see pineapples in their natural setting. Food was good too. Make sure you take the train and do the pineapple maze. And... More

Our family had a very nice visit. We did the pineapple express that explains the area, Dole company and what they grow. We did have to wait about 25 minutes for the train. Then we did the Maze which was a lot of fun but it was a hot day. It took us 45 minutes to go through. They had... More

I went to the Dole plantation 3 times during my two week visit. It was educational and beautiful. It was a different pace from visiting the beach everyday and the beautiful countryside with its red dirt made me see a side of Oahu I never new existed. They have a beautiful botanical garden you can walk through and of course... More
