One of the top Hawaii attractions includes the Polynesian Cultural Center, which features a 42-acre facility on the North Shore of Oahu. Founded in 1963, the nonprofit Center was created so that the students of nearby Brigham Young University Hawaii could work their way through college by sharing their island heritage with visitors. The students come from an area that covers approximately 12 million square miles of the Pacific Ocean.

Going to the Polynesian Cultural Center was a great way to see the different cultures in Hawaii. There is lots to see, so you really need to spend the whole day. We were picked up at our hotel in Waikiki at 10:30 a.m, got to the Center a little after noon. Took the canoe ride and visited each of the... More

This was an excellent package offered directly by the Polynesian Cultural Center. Transportation to the center was included. The tour guide Oscar was outstanding and we enjoyed the tour very much. The tour included key sites and the history behind those sites. Our tour stopped at the Dole Plantation which is worth a trip alone. The Polynesian Cultural Center VIP... More

We decided to get the super ambassador package, as we thought we'd splurge on it, as we probably won't come back to it. It was worth the extra money. From the beginning you are assigned your personal tour guide. Our guide Aoey, was a great guide, and was able to relate to us as he's lived in Australia before. We... More

My husband and I drove to the Polynesian Cultural Center from Makaha (approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes) and really enjoyed the drive through the north shore. We bought our tickets through the website and got the Ambassador Luau Package that included a small group tour, dinner with a Luau show and fantastic seating for Ka Breath of Life (we... More

The overall area is very impressive, we visited every display and enjoyed all. The show at night is absolutely awesome. My husband and I have been to the Centre 3 times and if we get a chance, we will try to go again.

We returned for a second visit. Several years ago, we visited the center. Today it is quite different. They have more restaurants, food stands, and a couple more countries added to the attractions. Everything is done by the students from Brigham Young Univ. of Hawaii. The food is plentiful and very tasty. For the handicap, they have scooters and wheel... More

It was a great day at the Polynesian Cultural center, I enjoyed seeing each exhibit from the many Polynesian Islands. The culture of each island is shown and the participants are friendly and provide great entertainment. Lots of things to do and participate in. Very educational and lots of things for kids to do.

Not the cheapest trip I have ever taken but in terms of value for money it was one of the best. It was a 14 hour day but not a moment was wasted. Could have done with another 6 hrs to see and do more.

with limited time to see hawaii, we chose the full day tour including the north shore. we were picked up just around the corner from our hotel and immediately were pleasantly surprised with the comfort and our guide. instructions throughout the day were clear and at the centre our tour guide was a student of the university next door, but...
